Posts like this are what make forums like this great. Thanks A2Z for making great products (or at least what seems like are great products - I ordered mine Tuesday, just waiting for shipment)
I love the fun buzz... Cool vehicle. Our Rivians are going to start getting recognized by a lot more people now that the brand is going mainstream and plans to start advertising.
I"ve always been a de-badger, and upon picking up my R1S I debadged the tailgate R1S and gave it to my favorite...
It looks like a Rivian, only smaller. yes, I'll make a reservation today, why not? and yes, I might have just bought a little bit more RIVN stock for the first time in a while :). We're going to see the rest of the world start seeing what we see in Rivian, which I think will be great for the...
No issues after a day and a couple of trips.
not sure of build date, my VIN was assigned May 2023 from the shop. The sticker on one of my batteries has a date of 3/28/23, that's probably pretty close. Approx vin in my signature below.
@Mark_AZR1T I used to unplug my V1 in town because of false alarms, but then I found out about the V1 Driver App on this forum.
I use it now and it works great. It has settings (which I enable) that automatically mute the detector based on your speed. The app was a one-time purchase and...
thanks @RealWheelsEV, this horn is pretty great. The instructions provided by the seller were perfect - be sure to download the e-copy so you can zoom in on photos. I took a bunch of photos so if anyone has any questions please ask. I used a decibel meter app on my iphone - see snips in...
Thanks @RealWheelsEV - the photos and detailed instructions you sent are just what I was looking for. I'll post feedback and lots of photos when I get mine installed, hopefully this weekend.
I second this. I'm not really sure what a tie rod is, but I feel like I should have a few spare ones to carry around with me to share with friends after reading about the occasional failures.
Oh, and maybe some grab handles on the a-pillar. That's not really performance, but that sure would...
@iforbes or @RealWheelsEV or anyone else, if you have any more install pics or instructions or hints please post. It looks like my horn is on the drivers side. I'm interested in learning from others experiences about frunk tub removal, battery connections, where to run wires, etc. Please...
Thanks @iforbes for posting - I played your sound clips for my family last night - they're excited. My horn kit is tracking to arrive Saturday, this sounds like a good weekend project for me. I'm ready for this beast to sound just a bit more beastly when I toot the tooter.
Understood - thank you. And thanks to Cory for the DM and the response. For anyone else reading this wondering which side(s) your horn is on, look through the grille for the horn hole (technical term). Mine has a hornhole on the drivers side. pics attached.
Horn ordered, I'll come back...
Nice! my wife makes fun of me whenever I honk my horn. @RealWheelsEV have you installed these in a R1S yet? I assume all the same since the trucks are the same in the front. Please count me in. I'll post photos upon receipt and install.
I also have 1/2" impact gun and it worked great- I didn't use or need a breaker bar. Attached is the tool list from the manufacturer, all these are needed. As noted above have plenty of blue loctite. Torque wrench needed to properly torque back the bolts. Pro tip: when you lay everything out...
Oh yeah. I definitely put my drivers side plate on backwards. But I'm not taking all those bolts off just to flip the orientation of the plate. The only people who will notice are people on these forums ?
I think the slots are one way, but I don't know. Speaking of debris, I posted a few photos of the gaps between the sliders and the wheel wells, I had thought about cutting and saving parts of the plastic panels but decided against it. I hope these areas don't get too much crap trapped in them...
