I don't see any reason to wire until it's cleared PDI and you are a couple of days from actual pickup/delivery. I wouldn't do it the day before/of in the unlikely event that there were issues with the wire, you'd have an extra day to retry.
As for insurance, they wanted proof of insurance...
The issue with providing a transparent look into the parameters is that those parameters could be changing fairly often. For example, when I spoke to my guide awhile ago regarding concerns over service (the closest SC is four hours away in Atlanta and the closest remote technician is over three...
~250 to the Atlanta SC. Those of us in NC, are looking at either Atlanta or Richmond, so I'm sure there are some in NC that are even farther away. It is the one thing that concerns me and why I am fine with not being first. (It is also why I do not want to be first in line for OTA's.)
To add...
Welcome...now that the intro's are over, time to put you to work!
The 21" tire availability has come up in multiple threads. In the latest, I asked how difficult it is to mfg a new tire size? With the increasing sophistication of CAD/CAM in some industries, the production line setup costs...
Man I hate that....I've been rear-ended in Charlotte on multiple occassions. The first time, I was stopped at a stop light, maybe four cars ahead of me. I look up in the rear view mirror and can see a car headed toward me with the driver not paying any attention. I start standing on my horn...
I'm going through this right now. I have a friend that owns a used car dealership (just low mileage and high end cars). When I asked him about our Audi etron back in January, he said in Sept it was worth $10k more than now! Arghhhhhhhh.
Anyhow, I'm going to get a one more quote next...
It is an interesting theory. Obviously, search engines are designed to gather data that is then used to drive business decisions and marketing approaches. So lots of searches of a specific item has the potential to become a data point in design and production decisions. However, a much better...
I originally had the max pack configured with the underbody shield and 20's. When they changed the entire maxpack configuration, I vacillated before finally deciding to drop it. So, I, like you, went through the agony of trying to decide what to do. I ended up moving to the 21's and keeping...
He keyed a Mazda, Audi and Rivian. Highly unlikely that either are EV's And the Rivian is so rare, it is unlikely that the perp knew it was an EV. This is simply the action of a Sociopath getting their thrill by being able to exert power and control over someone else. If I'm OP, I'd be...
It's quite the conundrum for me. My main concern is range to football games. It's about 100 miles each way, mostly Interstate and most of that 70MPH so figure I'm going ~75. Traffic at the stadium is problematic so a good chunk of time sitting there to get in and get out. (Weather is not...
I'd love to know what the impact to range is. I made the decision to downsize from the max pack. Originally had the 20", but with that decision, I've been looking in the shop for 21"...since it makes up for some of the loss (40 miles, which is significant for me). If I could get a meaningful...
It's things like this that make me so grateful that I am ADHD instead of OCD. It may bother me at first but after about 30 seconds my mind flits onto something else.
It drives my wife crazy. Typical conversation: Her "Do you hear that squeak?" me "yeah, I do" Her "Don't you find it...
From a purely selfish perspective the more in the CLT area, the more likely it is that we get a remote service location close by. About a month ago I decided to heck with it and drop the max pack so I spoke to my guide about the service situation and she said that the closest mobile service...
To be honest, "ask your accountant" is an appropriate response. It is a pretty big no-no to provide tax advice unless you understand both 1) tax code and 2) the individual's specific situation. I can't imagine any guide providing much more than 'ask your accountant'.
I would like to see the citation that supports this position. I'd also like to see the source where Rivian says "but no, you have to use *our* tires" (your quotes).
I certainly inderstand your desire to have the means whereby the consumer can make changes, but I'd need to see the specific...
??? What vehicle has 100% relieability all the time? Now, to be sure, some vehicles have higher failure rates than others and you may feel that the Rivian failure rates, based on anecdotal information gleaned from forums and bloggers, are unacceptable but if you require a vehicle that will...
Yeah, I've used PPF for the front bumper, hood areas that are subject to lots of rock chips. Buy the kit and apply it myself. Maybe....just maybe...that came close to break-even or slightly positive ROI (given $0 labor cost) at trade-in time but I think that is probably about the only time it...
