Its a great idea, but personally my dogs have always slept with us in our bed so I'd feel bad making them sleep "alone" in the car. Not to say you're a bad person if you do, but my dogs are just needy ?. Furthermore I'd be concerned with climate control in the car. Sure you can leave camping...
I have the ikamper xcover 2.0 on my R1S. A little lighter than the skycamp but footprint is pretty similar. I feel it's a very premium RTT. I fit 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs (1 15lb spaniel, and a 65lb labrador) with room to spare. Honestly my favorite feature is ikamper's ability to blackout...
Myself and probably majority of the forum members here go on 'Adventure' just fine without a Tesla adapter in hand. But sure, must be a manufacturer's problem.... ?♂️
I actually never knew tire sizes came in inches like that. But good to know a 290 series tire (metric) would fit the R1's. I am pretty surprised there isn't more of a poke at that size.
Selling 3 Rivian crossbars at $200 each or all 3 at $500. Used less than 5 times for awning and RTT. I am upgrading to ORR Rack so no longer need these.
Sorry, no shipping.
I know there are plenty of benefits to using the portable battery, but is there a primary reason as to why the vehicle 12v system shouldn't be used? Or why having a trickle charge is a bad idea?
I hear ya, and while portable battery is not a bad idea at all, my biggest resistance against a portable battery is the weight and size of them. Yes there are smaller/lighter options, but I don't want to worry about doing fine calculations about how much power I will need and if they will...
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding, the high voltage system in the Rivians is mainly for power train components, and the 12v batteries run the accessories. And the high voltage system will charge the 12v batteries as they get low fulfilling the duties of an alternator of...
Or do a full send and get one of the DirtCom tire swings. Really want one for my R1S, but I know I will no longer be able to fit in my garage if I install it.... decisions, decisions...
I've driven both. Got a R1S with 20" ATs and had a loaner from R1S with 22" sports for the past several weeks while mine is getting repaired. Very little difference in terms of comfort and road noise. If you keep your AC and stereo off and listen very keenly, you might be able to notice a...
@Si.LE.R1S
Holy cow, triple layer? Did you do lighter percentage and layer them up? Very curious what the light throughput on that would be.
I have single layers of 5% on my back windows and thought it was pretty dark... I have 80% UV film on my front windshield. I was afraid of what the night...
Its crossed my mind, but bringing a battery large enough to hold that kind of charge isn't very practical, and though I can wait about half a day for a slow charge, not sure about several days. 2.0kW/hr vs 0.104kW/hr(2.5kW/day) is quite the difference.
I'm not trying to burn fossil fuels every...
