I also have that concern! Oddly enough, the first day I got shop access, I saw an RB WITH the PTC.. I would have gone for that but my wife does not like the blue.
I did. I confirmed my configuration, then spoke with my guide and she said she could "lock" my order for now so I can wait on the PTC. She mentioned that they were expecting the revision to be ready q1 of 2023..... but of course we all know how that goes.
I'm no in rush to get the truck so I...
yeah seems pretty restrictive..

I would have LOVED that configuration!! I just got shop access and was hoping to come across a launch green lol.
Hopefully something pops up in the Norcal region!
Is there any downside in asking for shop access? I was originally planning on waiting for the revised tonneau cover but I have a sneaking suspicion that may take much longer than originally anticipated or Rivian will force us pre price hike orders to purchase a truck before releasing it due to...
My guess is the issue is with the packaging of the fixes and the cost.
Either way, I'm holding off on my purchase until there is clarity one way or the other regarding the PTC. I was asked to confirm back in November but told them I want to wait.
They should at least offer a "dig" feature like on the bronco where it locks the inner rear tire when making a turn. I understand the challenge of implementing tank turn and the possible liabilities, but locking a rear wheel while letting the other wheels turn should be extremely easy...
Good on you for helping those people. I was once out exploring Mormon Emigrant Trail and came across a stuck jeep and a truck that was unsuccessfully trying to get them out. Got to use my maxtraxx for the first time and they worked like a charm.
I would definitely recommend a set of those...
I've seen similar setups on other vehicles here in the US but the vehicles are usually marked either by the DOT or some other research firm to analyze the road condition. They're also usually nothing fancy, like a prius or something else thats boring lol. It would be weird to use the Rivian to...
I believe in the beginning Tesla was also very good about making things right. Clearly they have gone the complete opposite direction now.
I wouldn't bank on Rivian maintaining this level of support either TBH. It's just the nature of the game. They have so few vehicles out there that they can...
This should be a fairly easy feature to add I would imagine. I know some luxury SUV's already have a feature that lowers the rear end to aid in unloading/loading the trunk.
Same here. Just texted my guide that I will wait. She sounded fairly confident that it is supposed to arrive the first half of 2023, but we all know how that goes. I'm in no rush to get the truck and would rather get a later build with more revisions/fixes for some of the common issues anyway.
