This is pretty close to ideal conditions for lane centering. Well marked. Clear weather. No sun on horizon. No construction. Just well-marked clear lanes. Doesn't get easier than this.
Probably the most useful accessory for the R1T. Puts the tunnel slide to shame. Someone please find the manufacturer for these. I find it unlikely that Rivian crafted these in house.
Is this still the case in "Sport" mode as well? I thought I had read that Sport mode gives it more of the snappiness you are referring to from the TM3 or does it still lag relatively?
I would also add V2H will be what is considered outdated. I see power reliability only getting worse in the future. Kinda stinks having the equivalent of 10 Powerwalls sitting in your garage and not able to use it to power your home in an emergency or to fully power an RV trailer or worksite...
They should just spin-off a branch of the company entirely (new brand, possibly it's own IPO) for direct to consumer sales on future models. Get out of the teeth of dealerships.
Agree. 1kwh is approximately 100 iPhones fully charged. My iphone is sending/receiving/listening/gps/cell connection to towers/connected to wifi and has no issue lasting an entire day. 1 KW is generous. Right not it's just a monstrous and ridiculous waste. Hopefully the extreme battery...
With these early problems, are others not concerned in fall with leaves and helicopter seeds dropping leading into winter with freezing rain and snow pack. I think the failure rate in first year alone will be extremely high. To me it almost seems like a guaranteed problem although I still have...
Agree. Battery powered Ring type cameras are always on watch and consume a fraction of watt per hour. (23wh battery lasts 2-4 months depending on activity) - It's also NOT gear guard since disabling gear guard doesn't solve the problem. As you said, it doesn't make sense either based on the...
The amount of vampire drain is definitely due to battery management. It must be overzealous though in keeping a narrow range when truck is off and idle. Lithium ion is not THAT delicate. There isn't an issue with letting the 2170 cells get to 35° or 95°F when sitting idle. There will be SOME...
Already plenty of first-hand accounts and news articles of F150 being able to power entire homes. Wedding parties. Etc. Was reported on quite a bit with the F150 Hybrid (same 9.6kw inverter) especially during the Texas power outages last year.
He pulls it into a charger at that building with about 70% SOC. He doesn't show any joy riding so it's very possible he is instructed to charge it to certain percent (85%?) so you receive it with a nearly full battery. Probably not good idea to jump straight to a conclusion that there is any...
BS. Teslas have never swallowed as much juice (kwh) as these Rivians are. You would need to have Sentry on and Cabin temp protection on in the sun on a sweltering summer day to come anywhere close. Rivian needs to fix it. Stop making excuses for them.
