It's really not though. People are driving Ferrari and all these expensive for the cars performance and tech specs, they are driving it to boost their ego. No mass market car is going to fill that gap.
Performance launch edition is the one to get while you can.
Premium is the everyday spec.
Performances mostly unnecessary
Standard is the rental car Uber driver spec.
Looks like the xnor "longitudinal harness " (which is what I have) has been removed from XNOR (the direct link works) , and the newer angle based kit is listed as an "Extreme Dev Kit" that is coming soon. Is that a true statement @gerrylum ?
We'll see, but I would hold onto your house keys for now.
Rivian's entire playbook right now is about survival and scaling. They will do whatever lowers manufacturing costs while maintaining margin. R1 volume, .both because of current macroeconomic conditions and its luxury price point, is...
Not until at least 2029, R2 is the priority , When the GA plant is open and can handle much of the R2 manufacturing demand. I could see them revamping Normal to build the next gen R1s with the cost savings and hardware they learned for R2.
Also, I could see the R1 platform going the route...
2nd row leg room in the S is better than the T , and with the shorter wheelbase, it is what it is. With the T selling so poorly, would be cool if they used that frame to introduce a R1L. But they need to get the cost down otherwise I can see that platform being abandoned.
Yeah for what i have seen it looks great. I like the uniqueness of it. I just wonder if over time, having a purple car will not age well. Not that the paint is lower quality or anything, just that our personal preferences change with the times.
You're making false equivalents for the sake of arguing.
Influencers are not the same as these other 1099 workers you rally for. They "buy" the product with the explicit purpose of profiting from the product and are generally not completely honest as they want to maintain their connections...
