I expected insurance to go up after Nationwide saw how expensive Rivians are to repair but a DOUBLE?
No tickets for atleast 15 years, no accidents for 33 years. One year of insurance was $1262.79 and now at renewal, one year is $2409.16
Guess I'll be shopping insurance for the next week...
I bought this one to install at my rental property and had a 14-50 plug put in to plug it into. I used a 50 amp breaker and get the full 40 amps while charging. The mobile charger that comes with the Rivian is maxxed out at 32 amps and I hate unpacking and repacking it everytime I visit the...
go into your phone settings for bluetooth, find the Rivian camp speaker in the bluetooth list and select "forget device". That will stop it. Next time you use it, just re-pair it to your phone.
Good idea. I just went and scoured settings and then had to go to owners manual to see that the "Home" position is saved in the Navigation app.
Mine is set correctly in the Favorites section under Home.
That's the first thing I did, verified the setting was still set to proximity off at home. I even reset the display system using the 2 outer steering wheel buttons last night when Alexa would no longer connect to the internet
I have 2 by my gym and I try to find an open one each time at the gym, get 8-9kw. One charges at 9 and has a thicker cable.
Free is phenomenal! What gets me is the utter lack of respect other EV drivers have when they use this "Free" charge. They never coil the charging cable back up...
I just noticed this morning that the new update broke proximity locking "off at home". My truck now locks when I walk away even though I'm at home in my garage. smh.
Updated this morning. Was playing games on Alexa with my daughter on the way to daycare, came home and updated. Went to pick her up this evening and Alexa is no longer functional. "Sorry, I am not connected to the internet". Did a display reboot and no change. Haven't tried a hard reboot yet.
Well, you asked so...
@Zoidz says
" the noise *might* be slightly louder but it's hard to tell."
"I will also mention behavior that I would expect to be completely normal."
"running near it's top speed. It's not annoying to me and it is easily masked by the blower and radio"
"the compressor is...
Same, under 72 degrees in my garage at 7:30am. Climate set to 69 on Auto. Walk out and suddenly reverberating around my garage is a captive weed eater giving it hell.
Really REALLY appreciate @Zoidz letting us all know that he is right and we are all imagining things. Thanks! Helps bunches!
Most likely. My truck is in a garage and at 7:30am the cabin temp is around 70-72 with the AC set on Auto at 69. Hardly seems necessary to go balls to the wall on the compressor as I walk up to it.
I'll try manually turning AC off when I get out of the truck and see if I get the same when I...
After this last update, when I walk up to my truck in the morning I hear a loud weed eater sounding noise I assume is a compressor for AC? In 9 months of owning my R1T, I’ve never heard this but now every morning.
Anyone else?
Regardless of fit, the fact that they do not have a cut out to route charging cables makes it not usable to most. What I mean is there is a hole to push the usb cables through so if you want to lift the tray out and gain access to the bottom of the console, the cord is all tangled in the tray...
and how about removing that flashing radio station banner under the left side map? It does a great job of showing up and blocking directions anytime you are using map navigation so you have to then turn your head and find the info on the large center screen. I turned off HD radio with no effect.
The Viofo A139 Pro uses a 1080p camera in the rear, not a 2k camera.
* 2 Channel 4K 3840x2160P 30fps + 1080P 30fps (per the viofo.com website)

I installed the Thinkware U1000d with 4k front camera and 2k rear camera. That was the deciding factor for me over the Blackvue. I wanted as much resolution in the rear camera as possible in case of a hit and run etc to hopefully grab a plate. It seems all the other cameras use 1080p for the...
