It works even when Highway Assist is off but it only seems to work on highways where HA is available. I used it this week with a trailer when I had dumb cruise control only and it worked fine on the mainlanes but did not on the feeder(access) road along side the highway.

I am not sure as I just started using it today. It could be that if you are changing lanes quick enough, the blinker does not turn off. I only noticed it turn off in the first lane once this morning but I was not rapidly changing lanes. Edited for clarity.

Have you tried cleaning the pins on the vehicle? They could be dirty from a previous session at a charger that was dirty.
