I think the industry is moving towards solutions where the trailer also has a battery which drives the trailer and increases the range. This also provides a battery buffer for the RV industry to help run the AC, fridge, etc at camping sites without power.
Edited to add a second thought...
Where was the heavy rain in this video? I saw moderate rain in bumper to bumper traffic. Let's see a real downpour on an Interstate going 60+ with trucks throwing spray up everywhere. If FSD can do that then it could be useful in the South where these types of storms happen almost day along...
Sorry for your frustrating experience. I have been using PAAK on my Gen 1 R1T for over two years with two different Samsung phones and have only had a good experience. Technology can be the best or worst depending on whether it works or not.
It appears the way to remove PAAK is to go into the...
It's so low that I have never worried about it over the last 5 years so I have never tested it. I mostly charge from 120v and have a Kill-a-watt meter so I could probably test it and report back next time I charge the Leaf overnight.
I have two of these exact panels and often see over 500 watts per panel when I adjust the angle to the optimum during the early spring before it gets too hot. They derate in the summer over about 85 degrees air temp.
I haven't had time to build it but I have been talking about testing this...
Thank you. I think I need to get mine rebalanced as I experience some shake at highway speeds. Not sure that Discount Tire is the best at balancing tires.
I have these installed on my R1T with a set of Nitto Terra Grappler tires. These rims are solid and to me look good with AT tires. Did you have any trouble getting them balanced?
I am not using them interchangeably. Read my post and actually gain some knowledge of physics. I have owned radar based ACC vehicles since 2004 and am acutely aware of the difference. Mark Rober's video had not been proven wrong by any actual scientist or engineer. In fact that video has been...
Potato potaato. I've been using Lidar for over 15 years in mapping situations and it's not just a compute problem. It's a differentiation problem between what is visible light and other wavelengths (radar and Lidar are just different wavelengths on the EM spectrum). The best differentiation is...
He was crazy but still wasn't going completely off the rails until his purchase of Twitter. He has been lying through his teeth for 10 years about FSD and when he removed lidar from consideration I knew I would never drive a Tesla. He thinks he can overcome physics with AI and that's just...
I would like to see the springs/suspension on the Ram after that test. We can all agree the Cybertruck design is not up to hauling heavy loads in the way any steel framed truck would be able to. I see people "abusing" their trucks to haul heavy loads all the time and yet they don't rip the tow...
This is a poor test. The force is downward on the hitch rather than backward on the tow point. I'm impressed with how little squat there was yet I still don't like the Dumpster and wouldn't drive one.
Hauling trash to a burn pile on the family farm. This trailer has a gross weight rating of 12,500 and weighs about 2,800 empty but was probably around 5,500 lbs. I couldn't get the farm's Dodge dually diesel to start so the Red Wagon was put to work.
I would like to take it one step further and be able to program in a trip for the next day with departure time and have it calculate how much charge is needed to get to my first charging stop plus a little bit of buffer. It's like an easy button for road tripping.
Edited for grammar.
There is a pretty good thread about this topic here. Rivian RAN pricing You are right that it's no longer the default option. The Pilot/GM/Evgo stations are now cheaper than RAN and they were some of the most expensive initially.
Just installed it also. I do like the preset charge percentage on the app and the slider is much better. I am also hoping this fixes some of the issues that many have been having with getting the scheduled charging times to update properly.
I got the email to and live in San Antonio. My email listed repair shops in Austin and when I tried to schedule an appointment, the app would only list Austin, Houston and Dallas service centers. I think the AI bot in the app is still a beta test.
