Yes, they were strangely silent. Configurator should be opening soon if they're shipping early 2026. It doesn't seem a gen 1 R2 would sell well if gen 2 R2 is just around the corner. The 8% market drop seems to suggest that may be the case, but who knows.
How does it even work with R2 sales? Why would you buy a gen 1 R2 that is going to be obsolete in less than 12 months? I swear Rivian is their own worst enemy as usual.
Might look at it, but I have my 23 MY key and R1S key on my iphone Air. I've only owned the MY for 5 weeks, but it's just never failed (and I'm in and out of it a bunch). I noticed no change when upgrading from the 13 to the Air in September - it was the same problems. But the fob also has...
Got ya - yeah I meant established auto manufacturers. Clearly there's some difference that drives some people's vehicles to be hit or miss, while others work flawlessly. A few weeks ago my PAAK, fob, manual unlock in the app all failed to get me in. Only the keycard worked. Once everything...
You couldn't pay me to own a Lucid. Not sure what this has to do with Tesla.
Tesla's PAAK on my 2023 MY works flawlessly - like literally every time I just grab the handle and the door opens. My GV70 proximity entry worked much better as well (never used PAAK too much with it, since I'm a fob...
Not sure why they can't produce reliable performance for everyone like Tesla. and many other car brands. This complaint resurfaces constantly on the Rivian subreddit. I've just learned to live with it - but it's another reason I won't be purchasing another Rivian until serious improvements are...
It's not. Common complaint on all the forums. I''ve had 3 different iphones. Tesla works flawlessly every time. For my Rivian, I'm frequently left waiting at the door, being forced to pull my phone out of my pocket to get in (as many others report). I thought this was intended to fix that...
There's that great Rivian QA again! Obviously not a material error, but it shows a continued lack of review in everything Rivian pushes out. It doesn't do anything for my confidence, as this just continues to make them look sloppy.
Outside of pet mode, system should retain rear vent settings from trip to trip. I get so tired of having to remember to turn on the rear vents again every single trip (and my dogs get tired of me forgetting to on hot days, lol).
This is how I do it too. So weird to me that they added it through vehicle quick controls, but it takes more presses to access that way. Rivian UI is so annoying sometimes.
Sounds like this is an issue with the amperage reading/display on the device. Looks like a common issue -
There's even an option to calibrate in the app, but the variance keeps changing on mine - so it still ends up wrong. Today the Tesla is showing 31 amps, but speed is unchanged on the...
Just got a neo charge to safely split my Nema 14-30 dryer outlet for home vehicle charger.
I’m using a Tesla mobile charger with the Nema plug accessory. When I plug into my Model Y the Neocharge app confirms 24 amps of power drawn.
When I plug in my Rivian via Tesla tap, the Neocharge app...
Lol. I refuse to even install Teams on my phone. The last thing i want is Teams away from my desk. I have e-mail and a cell phone for those who need me, that's enough.
They’ve copied lots of things from Tesla. This will be the next thing they copy. No way they’re going to continue to resist when the software is already so far behind Tesla. Hopefully will free up resources to focus on autonomy which has no such easy button solution.
That Kingman RAN location is closer to Tesla than most - member pricing only 0.08 cheaper than RAN - 162 kwh to break even. Most are further apart - definitely worth doing the math depending on your situation since prices always change. Maybe one day Rivian will decide to compete or at least...
