Please convince Goodyear to make them in a 275/65 R20 size please!!! They'd definitely be contenders for me, but I don't want to be questioning my speedometer. Right now I'm still expecting to buy the Toyo SL's before winter gets here (I've got a little over 30K on my original Pirelli's and...
I keep hoping that Rivian will come out with the equivalent to the Jeep Wrangler 4xe Power Box that would give us two real 15A outlets. I'd much prefer that to my Bluetti external battery.
The same thing happened to me at an EA charger - it was finally a matter of pushing in and wiggling it until it came free. Just make sure you've stopped the charging from within the Rivian first.
For me it's a combination of more outlets, including 5 USB and wireless charging on top, plus the ability to go above the 1500W of the Rivian inverter. As mentioned above, when the Bluetti is plugged in it does a straight pass-through to the AC source. That's how I figured out I had tripped...
"Dad - You SO could have smoked that guy" said my daughter after this happened at a red light where it narrowed to one lane not far on the other side of the intersection. Here's the coal-burner from my left camera (we have a '23 Gen1 R1S Quad so please forgive the image quality):
13-second...
This thread was the inspiration for most of my Rivian cooking equipment and I now have it pretty dialed in:
Blackstone 22" Electric Griddle and Travel Case - The case is a little snug, but it does fit and holds some of my accessories in the pocket. I really like this, but I do find that I need...
Interesting...I don't think State College PA would qualify as a "big city" except on game day so I'm hoping that this works. I'll report back in September!
One other note...The Rivian will put itself into park if you open the driver door while it's in Drive. Just get used to putting it in park yourself by pushing the button at the end of the right stalk. A friend of mine had a Mercedes that did the same thing and he got in the habit of opening...
Congrats! You'll love it. I'm guessing Camp Mode will be your friend for what you describe - with screens off it won't use much juice at all. If you're only sitting there for an hour or so (while a child has an activity), I wouldn't even bother - it won't use enough energy to be noticeable...
This looks great and is certainly a smaller than my laptop. I think I'm going to give Starlink Mini a try at the end of August and see how it goes. If the Mini doesn't cut it then I may return it and try the Standard for the next game. If that doesn't work I'll go with the digital antenna...
Oh - there will be plenty of food and drink. I want the TV because this turns into a 12-14 hour tailgating experience and only about 4 of those hours are in the stadium. It's nice to be able to watch other games while hanging around the tailgate.
Thank you all for the responses...I was afraid...
I read through all of the Starlink Mini threads and it seems that there are a bunch of Rivian owners who have them. Here's my use case: Tailgating at Penn State.
In the subject of this thread I admit that it's pathetic...I'm looking for a way to use my Hulu Live subscription to watch football...
Thanks - I hadn't seen that Anker makes a dual-zone, but for my use case (like yours) a freezer section is required. I also have a wife who is also usually unimpressed with my acquisitions related to the Rivian. You have my sympathy.
I've been eyeing the BougeRV 58QT model - the price has, at times, dropped below $400 on Amazon. The battery is roughly another $200, but for my use case I'm not sure I need it. There's also a cover available for it if that interests you.
One of the biggest appeals of this for me is that it...
