It can be an issue, in or out of warranty, depending on what you need. My experience here is pretty small, but I know Tesla roadside assistance caps at a 50-mile tow and the nearest center to us is about 90 miles away. Because we live in a very limited service area, none of Tesla's towing...
I'm in the same boat with Cleveland being nearest but still 4-4.5 hours drive away (basically entire length of Ohio since I'm on the other side of the river in Kentucky).
That being said, if they'd let me test drive or explore the vehicles for a while, I'd probably make the drive at the drop of...
Saw this interior at the Venice Hub last month (caught an Uber up between flights out of LAX) and immediately changed my configuration to FE interior. Absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing the pics as I can't get enough of it now!
Anything would be great, right? I pay for Apple Music and have no interest in transitioning all our playlists and such over to Spotify. First-world problem, I'm sure.
6% in 48 hours with Gary watching doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. I think Tesla Sentry mode is similar.
Comparing to a Bolt or Mini without equivalent monitoring doesn’t apply.
That turnpike is no joke. We're trying it in our Model Y this summer, so we'll see how an EV handles it.
PlugShare shows two single-station CCS chargers going into Charleston. Not sure what KW rating, but the fact that they're listed as CCS and not J1772 is encouraging.. One at the capitol...
All of ZERO chargers existing or planned in West Virginia.
Frustrating as that's our primary route to the southeastern states where my parents live and we vacation. Right now that means sitting at a 6.6kw charger (there's one 24kw charger at a Cadillac dealership and I don't want to count...
I've strongly desired to see the RB in person, but these side-by-sides help a ton. I'm not a fan of super bright blue cars, so I appreciate seeing how subtle the Rivian color is side-by-side with some of these others.
Compared to the plethora of GRAY that are the most of the other Rivian...
This accurately describes how I use normal Autopilot in my Telsa (not the FSD upgraded version). I can take a sip of water more easily, look at something my wife/child point out, etc. without as much concern that I might accidentally cross a lane line. It's a very liberating experience.
I really need to see Rivian Blue in person. Hard to get a bead on the color from any of these pictures and videos. I can't tell if there's a hint of green to it IRL or if these guys are just applying a filter. Depends on light, I know, but it feels like this blue runs quite a wide spectrum.
Me watching a video of a white R1T: Wow. That's nice. I should configure mine to be white.
Me watching a video of a blue R1T: Wow. That's nice. I should configure mine to be blue.
Repeat.
If anything, this makes me a bit more comfortable about possibly getting the 20" instead of the 22" wheels. It's a good, real-world test (though comparison to EPA is B.S.).
I wish the charge curve were better, but I don't think it's unusual for an EV to real-world peek 10% or so below ideal...
I would love to see the R1 vehicles added to this calculator. Aligned pretty well with what we recently saw road tripping in our Model Y.

Wow. That's the SMART car of pickup trucks, isn't it?
Also, it would be great if folks taking these "side-by-side" photos would take more head-on shots like what you shared. Impossible to compare at a 45° angle... :-\
