  1. Why is RIVN Relatively Stable

Stable range great for covered call sellers.
  2. Unlocking the car at home is maddening

Does seem like a first world problem. You would think the Techbros (Elon, Mark, RJ, etc) could handle this one.
  3. Anyone Still Using RAN?

I feel like that, but there are some times I’m just cutting off my nose to spite my face not going to Tesla. I supercharger so infrequently the $$$ amount is minimal, and the $$$ difference very small. But if all possible I’m with you.
  4. Leasing deals on release of NACS Rivian

I wanted to ask about that. While awaiting my R2, I leased an Equinox EV with the CCS port. I purchased the correct adapter from GM, and have used it a few times at Tesla stations (I charge 90%+ at home.) I had no difficulty using it. I suppose it’s mildly inconvenient. When I had a Tesla M3, I...
  5. Walmart’s upcoming charging network plans & first charge experience / review

Most Excellent! I used the EA charger at the Needles CA Walmart (not much out there) driving from Vegas to Palm Springs. Some quick cheap shopping, and back on the road.
  6. Rivian buy back: what should my next vehicle be?

If you want to go from A to B (not a Rivian thing) then an Equinox EV AWD. I’m leasing one waiting for my R2. Roomy, fast enough, reliable (so far.) Not bad looking. Avoid the FWD. And you can get them cheap.
  7. Confirmed: R2 / R3 will have tow hitch

That parts good. The towing range would be the problem. Hope I can get a tri motor.
  8. Confirmed: R2 / R3 will have tow hitch

Sounds like range, not towing capacity, will be the big issue.
  9. Confirmed: R2 / R3 will have tow hitch

    Not much!!
  10. Confirmed: R2 / R3 will have tow hitch

I have owned several RV’s and towed vehicles behind (TOADS). But, I’ve never owned a travel trailer. For the knowledgeable on this forum, here’s a few questions (knowing that the firm information isn’t really out there yet): How much of a travel trailer will I be able to tow comfortably...
  11. R1S Collision Repair Ordeal

An old Car and Driver column (? P.J. O’Rourke?) about new Jaguars said they needed to come with a Pinto loaner. Maybe a Corolla or Elantra with the R1S.
  12. Q1 2025 Rivian Production & Delivery Figures: 14,611 Produced / 8,640 Delivered

That’s a good thing for covered call selling.
  13. R2 vs Lyriq

I have an Equinox EV on lease with an R2 order as well. I went to the Pasadena Space, looked at the R2. Seems very close to the Equinox. The Equinox is 4 inches longer, 2” wider than the R2. The Lyric is bigger still. I think the R2 is closer to the Optic. (Same car, fancied up).
  14. RJ shows R2 in e-coat!

I’m pretty sure that’s my specific R2 trimotor in that pic. Will LYK.
  15. 220V outlet at VRBO

My daughter moved into a house with a 10-30 dryer plug in her garage. We were able to use that at 24 amps, using an automatic splitter from Amazon. Works great, there’s a plug for the dryer and for the EVSE.
  16. Photo: R2 body built w/ production dies! NACS charge port location = driver's side ?

Driver rear will make Tesla Supercharger use much easier. My Equinox EV is driver front, more difficult. Easy at EA. I’m 95% at home/rooftop solar anyway, but visiting my daughter 400 miles away requires a couple of charges, and Tesla is clearly most convenient. Apparently they recently...
  17. Tri-Motor 0-60 speed.

Or already going 20 mph over posted, keeping a reasonable distance between the car in front of them, when somebody come up on their bumper.
  18. “Only Driving this till I get my Rivian” - Car Magnet

Have a store near me in the wildly overpriced Fashion Island. Will check it out, thx.
  19. “Only Driving this till I get my Rivian” - Car Magnet

My experience too with the M3.
