I'm taking mine in for the creak in about 3 weeks. Seems to be a solid fix out there for it (re torqued bolts and more grease). It may not fix all the thunks if you have those (I think a new designed CV shaft is needed for that).
Sounds like the creaks may come due to a lot of high torque load...
Keep us updated on if this noise comes back in another 2000 miles. Mine started making this noise this past Monday (at 2.5k miles) and it has gotten much louder since. I have a service appointment but not until September 9th. Currently they say I'll do no damage by driving but it is so loud and...
I have the slight ticking (during low speed creeping) and some squeek (which is more annoying) when I go from no throttle to moderate throttle (like leaving a stop light but not just while creeping).
I talked with Richmond service and they are aware of the squeek at least and have a plan to fix...
Don't blow this out of proportion. This is not a random sample, it is a convenience study. It has been proven that people are more likely to respond to convenience surveys with negative feedback then positive. Most people who are fine are bothering to click and read the thread. In addition, this...
It took a while (July 12th until August 4th) but I did receive my refund for the registration fees and sales tax amount when I had to register my own R1T
Could it be the false floor in your frank? Try removing it or padding underneath it and check. I have heard others mention felt padding to reduce bump noise.
My passenger side is regularly 0.5 to 0.75 lower but that is close enough to not notice so I feel it is in spec for now. I figure I'll keep an eye on it (and tread wear) and wait until this becomes a more known issue with an easy quick adjustment fix
It is due to the brake holding. The sound never happens while driving and adjusting. It just happens due to how the truck lowers or raises front then back and the brakes hold to keep it from sliding forward or backward.
I received a ups packet from rivian saying I had to self register in NC (I took delivery June 22nd). It went smoothly but I did need weighted plates as well (with no current plans to tow).
I was also told I will be reimbursed soon.
Great pics. I love Julian Price park. I have hiked the Boone fork trails a few times with my kids and there is a great series of water falls down there. I actually took my R1T to the mountains this past week as well but was around Lake Lure and Asheville.
Like you, I was going to transfer non weighted plates before I found out. So I received new plates today at the DMV. I only received the package today so I was not expecting the check reimbursement just yet.
I just received a package that Rivian failed to register my vehicle and wanted me to do it instead. I went to the DMV and it was easy, but I still need to be reimbursed by Rivian for taxes and fees (about 2700 total).
I did need weighted tags, which were a little more expensive, but not to the...
The truck and I are out of town in the mountains at the moment actually ha. I will be getting back Saturday evening but my battery will be low. Maybe sometime on Sunday
We could arrange something for you to look at mine if you havent seen ine in person yet. I'm in west cary (near high house and hwy 55). My schedule is a little crazy over the next 2 weeks so it depends how quick you'd be interested.
Hi All, no clue if this is normal or something I should be looking into. Whenever I change right height after the rear suspension first adjusts the front suspensions has a slight grinding noise when it matches height. Does anyone else have this or are their ride height changes near silent?
