Are you certain it's biasing to the right? I ask only because every time I turn on LKA it pulls to the right (or refuses and tells me to center in the lane first). I feel like I'm RIGHT UP AGAINST the adjacent cars...and then I switch to the camera app and confirm via the overhead view that it...
Push and hold the left steering wheel "left" or "right" buttons to show the 15-minute efficiency graph on the left side of the console. That'll give you rough ideas, or good idea if your driving is consistent over a 15 minute period.
Alternatively, in the "Vehicle" app (fourth icon along the...
Four+ years ago CleanTechnica posted an article showing some great graphs from some great data garnered by ABRP on Tesla performance at different speeds and temperatures. It includes the following two graphs, showing that the ideal speed--to get maximum range--for the Model S100 is about 35 MPH...
It's a winding mountain road with only a couple of straightaways, so mostly yes, the wheel is turned. However, the spot it tends to start "giving out" on happens to be mostly straight. Perhaps the similarity between our situations is that the car has a lot of unwanted momentum (in my case due to...
FWIW I've been tracking (not quite struggling with) the limited regen for a while now, as I live up a very steep mountain road, such that the first 0.9 mile of my drive drops me about 600' in altitude, where I'd like to reclaim as much juice as possible.
There are three icons/messages when the...
When I first got the truck I was in love with how it automatically stopped and held at traffic lights. Solid.
In the past month--before this update--I was noticing how frequently I'd come up to a light and just let off the accelerator, and the truck would roll backwards on even the gentlest...
Left my truck parked at the Denver airport last week. When I got back it was 10°F and covered in snow and ice. Unlocked the truck, wife and kids and I opened all doors and got in. Wife got back out (front passenger side) to wipe snow off the windshield and when she got back in, the door wouldn't...
My most recent test, using the previous system software (not latest as of today).
Summary: In sub-freezing temperature parking, the truck lost 4.4% of charge per day. ?
Charged to 85%, drove to the Denver airport. Parked at 69% 9am December 16th. Turned off Hotspot, Wi-Fi, and Gear Guard. Left...
I posted because after it did not initially work, I thought the issue might lie with the many Rivian Bluetooth connections that are present. Turns out I just needed to make the change to just “Rivian Audio”, disconnect from Bluetooth, and reconnect.
"Hey Siri, how much is a kilogram of gold worth?"
"Sorry, I can't search the web on iPhone."
...
What? Yes you can. You do it for me all the time. This only happens when I'm driving my Rivian.
Apparently this is a new change in iOS 16 (with a TERRIBLE, incorrect response), where if Siri thinks...
...except that with iOS 16 now you say "Hey Siri, how much is a kilogram of gold worth?" and Siri says, "I'm sorry, but I cannot search the web on iPhone". WTF? Yes you can, you do it all the time.
Turns out if Siri thinks it's connected to a car, now it won't perform web searches. (Why? No...
FWIW my 2010 Wrangler seems to be close also...except when it chooses to show the temperature from when last drove and fails to update it until 10 minutes later. I've been driving with it showing ~40 degrees when it's ~70 degrees out, and it stubbornly refuses to update for many, many miles.
I video’d it yesterday for those curious. I’d climbed in the truck a minute prior at 43°F, drove a few hundred feet, stopped to take out the garbage, and then started videoing. The reduced braking starts around 0:54; I repeatedly had to use the brake pedal for safety.
