EV chargers can use 120V or 240V circuits. But you are right, RV outlets are 30amps and 120V. I use a TT-30 to a NEMA 14-50 adapter to charge my Tesla at RV plugs. I think the Rivian comes with a 14-50 adapter. This is the product I use...

I heard a rumour that Rivian won’t have the R1’s certified in Canada until September (just a rumour, no idea if it’s true).
My delivery window is 2nd half of 2023. I am hoping we get it for next years winter road trip.
Meanwhile in Canada it’s just crickets. My wife and I are planning a road trip to Florida in the fall and I suspect that is when I will see my first Rivian in the wild. I may be the person chasing after you to ask a million questions.
I was thinking they would start delivering a two row R1S that seats 8, lots of open air. Best way to get delivery numbers up with the current chip and battery shortage. Power and range may vary.
