That is a bolt backing out of the wheel (thingamajing) sorry not very mechanically inclined. Happened to me sound was gone once the bolt got lost. Park, raise, turn wheels in and out and inspect right be hind the tire by the rotor. I’ve attached pictures of the missing bolt.

If it makes a loud metal on metal crunch noise could be a loose bolt like mine supposed to have 4 but as you can see one went missing and thats when the noise stopped . Its in the shop now.

I recently had the same issue the culprit loose bolt check the pictures. It stopped making the noise once the bolt hot all the way out somewhere on 15 freeway in southern california. Raise your vehicle turn the wheel and check the bolts.

On my R1T When it’s set at highest in all purpose it will lower at 45mph. At least that’s what it does for me. I don’t think theres an auto selection or at least I haven’t had to use it.
