So quick update. Definitely protect your cameras, the small specs isn't dust, it's all tiny chips. This will become a big issue once there are more trucks on the roads
Windshield repair kit isn't working too well so far because it requires pressure to drive resin into the crack/chip and can't do...
I mean it's not a Canon L lens, the camera's resolution is like what, 720p on a good day? I ordered these two for now, both coming tomorrow so will post results soon

From what I remember the explanation for high price is that the front bumper needs to be completely removed and new camera "calibrated" to the car.
For now I'm gonna order a bunch of products off Amazon and see what works.
A while ago I got a rock chip on front bumper camera. Chip itself is tiny and is barely visible but it produces a pretty large smudge on videos. Rivian quoted about $1500 to replace it so I said screw it and just dealt with it.
Now with dashcam update coming I think this will be a larger issue...
I might have to export mine to Iceland soon so have few questions for you
- I'm assuming stock nav doesn't work at all? Does cellular connection work? Does Spotify/TuneIn work at all?
- How exactly were the HV and LV batteries disconnected, physically?
Psst, the temp tags are so tiny that toll cameras are not picking it up. I drove without ezpass for 3 months before they expired and got 0 tolls/violations from NJ/NY/CT/PA. Just be careful deep west on PA turnpike, they still got tolls booths with gates.
Where in NJ are you? I'm in 08816, got...
I have another appointment and an alignment is one of the trouble points so hopefully it's finally going to be dead on.
To clarify I've put about 3-4k miles since I started this thread.
Steering wheel was off before and fine after alignment.
Unfortunately truck is a bit out of alignment again even though I never went off-roading and just driving around. Steering wheel isn't straight and it keeps pulling to the right.
Use of onboard compressor was the extreme option, normally you'd have access to a proper compressor with tank.
If you're looking for something you can take along with you, that's a whole different animal. Stock jack is contender #1, I already tested and it worked fine.
I just ordered this thing, after seeing some dude on Youtube picking up Escalade on grass. Technically should be able to run it off on-board compressor. Will let you know this Friday...
Driver is an idiot doing this without any sort of recovery gear or 2nd car but I wonder if setting suspension to Sport, letting it sit on belly and shoveling some sand under tires would help?
