I can chime in with my 2013 RAV4 EV which is a model s drive unit in reverse. I've had it replaced at 50k and 60k miles. Luckily under warrenty both times. Got 108k on it now and holding my breath until R1S is delivered so I can off load the RAV. It's a well known issue with those model s drive...

Thanks for opening it up and showing. Did you wire it for the full 48 amps? Did you order your wire or get it at a big box? Shopping around for wiring at moment. Thanks

Sheesh a simple question - I don't mind an EV fee but I believe ohio has one of the highest ones in the country. 75-to 150 ok - but 200 sheesh. ALSO, I have my rav 4 ev I DO pay the 200 on and If I sold that and transferred - DO I HAVE to pay another 200 fee when I would of paid that 200 JUST in...

So I have been nickle and diming my options during this whole wait until Jul / Sept. In Ohio we have a relatively new 200 full EV registration fee. I got wind of it before I had to renew my volt and that year and I did a 5 year renewal to skip the fee for the hybrid which is like 150 fee each...

I wouldn't go that far haha. You pop the hood and it's Tesla markings and Tesla everything inside. I've had my motor replaced twice on it luckily all under warrenty. I'm outside warrenty now holding my breath as this thing is a liability until I get Rivian and sell this asap.

2012-2014 only 2600 Toyota RAV4 EV (profile photo) were made. Tesla model s motor in reverse with a RAV4 body on it. Everything under the hood is Tesla. Complete sleeper at the stoplight.

Thanks for this update. 200 miles in those conditions is still an upgrade for me. My 2013 RAV4 EV gets about 50 in the winter weather here and about 115 on perfect conditions. This is after replacing the low resistance EV tires with better traction all season tires.

Interesting... Did they give any option to pick it up yourself to possibly save delivery fee?
