I used the Rivian app to report 3 issues 14 days ago, and since then have reported a few more. (Seatbelt installed backwards, panel misalignment, powered tonneau cover acting flaky, and then later fully broken down, broken plastic wrap around beneath passenger seat, hotspot stopped working, …)...
I'm on 2022.31.5 as of last week, and I think all items on the list remain valid. I'm interested to know where I'm wrong, and would appreciate you listing which items you believe are not an issue anymore. (I've added numbers in the first column to more easily reference them.)
A followup to all the comments about my semi-incorrect "blind spot" item, which after further testing I've reworded and moved down to Strong Want.
Went and tested again. I was incorrect when I said that the R1T has a blind spot in the same spot as the driver's blind spot. The vehicle...
When I slowly pass a vehicle on my left or right side and look in the cluster, I see, consecutively.
A vehicle rendered in 3D in front of the truck.
That vehicle disappears from the cluster.
Later, the yellow warning symbols appear off the rear bumper indicating danger on that side.
When the...
Driving into the sun this morning ACC couldn't be engaged because of "glare on the camera". Even when I was later in the shade. Even when I was later driving away from the sun. I, too, was thinking it'd be nice to fall back to standard cruise control, but no idea how you clearly convey to the...
I have driven Wranglers since I was 12 (driving only in private areas) and have owned Jeeps all my life. I love the Jeep Wave, the camaraderie among Jeep owners.
Now that I'm driving my R1T daily, I feel a similar kinship with Rivian owners (whom I am seeing more and more!). I glimpse another...
I've been driving my R1T for 3 weeks now, and have been keeping track of things I'd like to see changed. Most are software and UI things that could be fixed, but there are a few hardware changes that I'm recording in case someone from Rivian sees the list and is interested in my opinion. :p
The...
I got an email about mine. (Ordered Feb '21, got a delivery window of July-August '22 some months later, then in June '22 got a new email changing estimate to Oct-Nov '22. And then (see my signature). 3 days after I confirmed my configuration my truck was ready for pickup, having been already...
In Colorado I'm truly wondering if next hail season I'll put the cargo crossbars up top and securely tie down a sheet of plywood when I may have to travel for a long time or park outside :p
I'll certainly try that next time, but my trailer has markings on it for the ideal depth at various ramp slopes, and though I overshot a little, I was not over by more than an inch or so. Might have made the difference at the door.
Two footed-driving, eh? I'll also give that a shot. Thanks. :)
R1T goes fast. Fast equals fun. But fast also equals bug splatter on windshield.
Now that I don't have to visit a gas station every week, I need a way to clean my windshield at home.
Any recommendations on a "gas station squeegee" for quickly and easily scrubbing clear the windshield, holding...
My guide has never reached out proactively—I had to reach out after finding out she'd been assigned once I reached the "confirm your configuration" email—but generally responds to texts within 6-12 business hours.
I put a boat in the water every weekend. This past weekend was my first with the R1T.
No issue hooking up to the trailer. (Adjusting ride height to Low made it easy to get under the ball, even though the trailer's post had sunk into the mud.)
No issue pulling the boat (about 6,500 pounds with...
Also, when it came time to get the boat out of the water, I backed the trailer down the ramp, my wife drove the boat onto the trailer, and I got out of the truck to hook up the winch and tighten the boat onto the trailer.
Got back into the truck (with 7 people on the boat watching me and trucks...
FWIW, I hooked my R1T up to my boat trailer this past weekend. While I used the cameras to line it up, I ended up overshooting by 1/2". As a result, the coupler dropped onto the ball, but I could not latch it. So I had to get back in the truck and pull forward just a little to seat it. Then, the...
