Sweet, I also wanted to test this with an aftermarket sub. I almost put a JL audio 10" in mine but I got laid off and so needed to not spend on things like that. I got another job this week so I might do this still, but the bass is good enough that it might not be a priority anymore.
Please...
I have suspected it was out of phase since I first replaced my 2022 Meridian with the new truck. Out of phase subs cause a strange sort of hollow bass, because they fight the door midwoofers. It sounded similar to other systems I have messed with in the past. It also explains why it sounds...
I don't have the update yet, but I noticed improved bass response by unplugging sub in my gen 2 R1T. I wonder if they somehow wired them out of phase. And maybe the S is in phase? That could explain why people don't hear Bass with the update, if the update adjusted the subwoofer phase?
I was honestly wondering if the sub was wired out of phase. Tempted to try swapping polarity on it and listening. It could also just be a bad speaker producing muddiness. Or a bad enclosure (though it looks exactly like the Meridian one?). Also could be a crossover issue, wiring in a small...
Go figure. I was going to replace the factory sub with a JL Audio 10w3 and in the process discovered that removing the sub, and turning up the 65hz bar really provides much clearer bass! It's far from as good as my old Meridian, but I'd call it acceptable now.
I wish they had remote roles. Got laid off last Thursday and they have a few roles like this one that I'd LOVE to do and would actually be a good fit for. But I can't leave Austin. Bummer.
If they offer good lease incentives on this I will be so sad. I caved and got a Tri Max (which is fucking awesome). But I caved mostly because I figured the lease price would be $600+ more, especially with the tax credit going away.
Is this going to be there in time to get a Quad Max? I don't think its enough incentive for me to go with a tri-max, but its really nice they have this offer.
Yep. It's been driving me crazy. I have a ticket out. Service called and told me to do a full reset and let it sleep for a long time. I did, when it came up, the only thing I had working was the speedometer. Soft reset got me some of it back, but not nav or audio (and I her things as...
Yeah I tried that too, since I thought maybe it was loose. It didn't help. The truck actually seems to be working okay as of my last drive, but its been happening on and off so I suspect it will come back. I did determine the video issue coincides with the Map problem, which is why I suspect...
Mine did this, and its been acting really wonky since the last update. Maps are no bueno, its rebooted twice while driving, and my motion detection videos aren't showing up. I filed a ticket. I have soft and hard reset, but its pretty clear there is some sort of software bug. I am guessing it...
Same exact issue here after updating to 2024.31.01. I took a diag report and submitted a service request. Also I noticed my motion detection videos no longer show up at all. Soft reset works for a bit, but it came back and soft and hard resets no longer help.
Agreed, which is why I wanted to have it charge the powerwalls and NOT power the house directly. I think it would mean I would have to manually shut it down if they got too low so it didn't try to power from the house.
I was planning on adding more panels soon anyhow, so I will talk to the...
