I grabbed from the shop also because Hawaii only shipped a single shipment of gen1 preorders to the islands before shutting down the preorders. We we were last state to get shipments. Ended up with one of the last Gen 1 quad R1S. Identical to our preorder with exception of exterior color.
I looked at my documents and my purchase agreement shows the after voucher price as the purchase price. Never shows the price without voucher or mentioned voucher or discounts. I would guess I your paperwork shows this, then you can use that. I also found out that the date you put in for the...
I contacted customer service and my local service center. Told them the situation and they looked into it. Came back with an email stating they found that is was a preorder holder prior to such and such date and directing me to a link for the IRS filing.

I got mine complete. Some back and forth with Rivian but they finally found that i was a pretty order holder before price increase and sent the letter stating such. This allowed me to input after discount pricing and it went through.
First repair attempt was March 12. Second attempt at the service center has been ongoing since April 2nd.
Per Hawaii lemon law "the car was subject to examination or repair for one or more nonconformities for a total of 30 or more business days."
I'm not a lawyer but that seems pretty cut...
April 21 update. Vehicle has been at Oahu service center since April 2nd after sitting in our driveway for almost a month. First was 12v battery, mobile tech came and troubleshot to main battery controller so whole pack needs replaced. They replaced that early last week. Update today, still not...
They have the get out of jail free card when we order the vehicle for delivery to hawaii we click the understanding that if transport inter island is required to get to service center the owner may be required to pay. They will cover tow truck to port from my house and from port to service...
So, live on big island. Tech out here yesterday diagnosed the main battery needing replacement. Just got a call from Matt at the oahu service center. They will not do replacement here so vehicle needs sent to oahu. Said I have to pay for the barge round trip.
Anyone know a good lemon law lawyer?
I'll agree to disagree. Semantics is what it is. Diminishing someone's unhappiness about something due to using a term incorrectly, in your opinion, is a little belittling.
For your future reference, Wikipedia, not an accepted scholastic reference but generally accepted by many defines it as...
Where does one draw the line for the term "bricked"? Technically nearly anything is repairable with enough time and money. An ICE vehicle can blow the engine and many people would write it off as a loss. For EV, if not under warranty do we say if the cost of repair is X, then it's bricked or...
They said if I change it and when the car comes back to life, if there are any other issues, computer or something bad, it wouldn't be covered because they would assume it was from my action of changing the battery
I totally drained one boost pack then hooked to my Tundra with a deep cell optima battery with vehicle running and let sit for 20 minutes. Still wouldn't start computers fully. Could open doors and charge port but that's about it. Immediately when I removed power everything died again.
I did think of that but found out the vehicle somehow knows if you change it. I did the 12v Jumpstart procedure to get into the vehicle and they saw that on the error codes uploaded under the temporary power. After they do the change, if no other issues, I'm changing to a LiPo battery. Just need...
