when i first saw this video i didnt think anything of the forklifts, i was just looking for the different colors on the golf carts. then like the 3rd time i started looking at other things and noticed the rivian badge on the forklift, and i thought this has to be painted to have a badge on it...
the head of design said that limestone compared to Nardo it is lighter, has a slight amount of green to it, and the slightest amount of metallic flake in it. so based on that i dont think that golf cart is limestone, it looks more like launch green to me. i was thinking maybe limestone could...
so i decided to drive by the Miami location today to see if any changes, i didnt see any sign of anything going on outside, but i did spot what looks like some pallets of large diameter electrical conduit sitting outside at the loading dock, so fingers cross but it maybe the first real sign of...
i wouldnt be too worried about it, sometimes its just bad luck. my friend with a colorado zr2 bison went through 2 tires his first time taking his new truck off road, and we're not talking real off road, down in a south FL fire trail service road, where its just a white gravel road. and he had...
Friday I drove by the Miami Location and nothing there yet, no sign of any work started as of Sept 3 2021. I did do some research trying to find additional evidence aside from what was posted earlier on this thread, and i found this today
These are the pictures from newest going back to...
I see the first one you posted, the Houston has a target completion, does the Miami location info show a target completion date? from my current investigation it seems that rivian isnt getting the entire building, seems like some of the suites in the front are going to other tenants and Rivian...
from a logistics point, i think maybe the orlando or tampa service center is going to be the deciding factor as to when FL may start receiving pre-orders, but i think that would depend also as to how many orders are north to central FL, and how many central to south FL.
This was today at what suppose to be the Miami, FL Service center location, one work van and a truck from a wood working company, That company posted on social media that they were building out a receptionist desk area today, the ceiling tiles and light fixture in the picture did match to the...
R1T was spotted today 07/25/2021 in Miami, FL exiting SR836 onto 42nd Ave southbound to be exact, it had the lidar on the roof. Not sure what they were doing in this area, but hope more to come to FL soon
This is at the Miami, FL site from today 7/23/2021 building is empty, but no construction workers or any sign of anything going on. Two weeks ago there was some movement but it was some of the old tenants picking things up that were being delivered. from my understanding the building has been...
Last week if you went on the configurator and built a non launch edition R1T in said deliveries start Spring 2022 , now it's back to January 2022. anyone else noticed this? did it change or is this just a glitch on my end? maybe production is moving along better than anticipated ?
To add to this, anyone find it even weirder that CS is saying that only the R1T are delayed and not the R1S ? In the configurator the R1S still says January 2022 for non launch edition while R1T now say Spring 2022.
They seem to use a lot of the same part/components aside from maybe the bed...
that is a valid point, we really dont know if they are or not, i was basing my comment on an article that was released yesterday where they reached out to Rivian and they responded with the delay only on the R1's at this time but really we dont know.
With that said they did emphasize that the...
I find it a little weird that he R1T and R1S are delayed for what ever reason yet the Amazon vans aren't. makes me think this isn't a chip issue but something else
maybe epa figures aren't up to par or something specific to R1's ? or is it maybe they have a hard deadline for specific amount of...
funny you bring that particular item up, i have same vehicle with same issue dealer wants me to bring in my vehicle before they will put an order in for me, i dont want to do that as i have the diesel 3.0 and it always takes 2 to 3 days for them to look at my vehicle and they dont provide...
a buddy of mine works at ford and we were talking about this, why not have vehicles 99% complete and just wait on chips, his response was, you didnt hear this from me, but thats exactly what we're doing.
also the chip shortage thing i think everyone is using it to their advantage, i talk to...
not sure how aware you of this but it is, i had written CS a lengthy email around June 9th, and in the response they said the priority of delivery was "based on location( locations with service center nearby will be first) , then reservation date, then configuration". so yes if you are in an...
I dont think the semiconductor shortage is the issue with them currently, if it were then why not produce vehicles 90% complete just missing those components until they arrive and then just put them in. This could work at the beginning as you are only producing small amounts as you ramp up. and...
