I never got my efficiency from it being bone stock so you might have to reference some other posts for that.
but basically:
With only ikamper on bed I was getting 1.82 over 1000 miles
With ikamper on the bed rack I was getting 1.80 over 1000 miles
with ikamper on bed rack AND the roof rack...
Here is a link to my previous post where I did a short review and initial impressions on the Overland Ruff Rax bed rack, I have since then updated it with a 1000 mile efficiency update, so feel free to go check that out for latest range testing.
But I was so pleased with the product, and was...
Here is the 1,000 mile efficiency update. It isn't too bad, it's actually about right where I was getting with the tent by itself on my bed. So I'm confident in saying the bed rack alone is a very minimal range hit compared to the tent
You are correct! I went up there to both dce and talked to sam and then, sounds like the patent is all approved now, and they’re doing an install video sometime this week. I actually just picked up a roof rack in person after I hit my 1000 miles, and just threw it on yesterday. I’ll be posting...
I leave it on, but it’s designed to come off in one piece.
I am hoping to go get some pictures tomorrow of some additional goodies so I will deploy everything.
I just got back from camping but didn’t take any pictures!
I didn’t forget about you. Here’s some pics. It fits. But I have to load the bike with the tailgate down, and kinda lift it up as I close the tailgate. Easy with one bike, might get more complicated with more than two
They sell different size risers for their rack, so without them I doubt it would clear. With them yes, then it all comes down to may or may not having to shim the risers or the oem roof crossbars to match each other but that would generally be fairly easy.
With the OEM crossbars or this aftermarket rack? I did not have to get my spare out with the OEM cross bars, but it looked like an absolute pain in the ass, with this aftermarket rack I can easily access it now.
my tailgate pad is actually shipping right now and should be here in a few days...
Bed rack aligns with roofline but not crossbars, they do sell risers though, I cannot confirm or deny if they match exactly with the crossbars, but I do believe it will get you close enough, then from there shimming should not be a problem.
It is really good quality! I am actually going to pick up the roof rack in a few weeks, I want to get at least 1000 miles of testing with the bed rack before I throw any other variables in the mix. I will post an update with that as well.
I am sure if someone can make it work a solar panel with...
Let me know if they do, I would really like yellow! I'm actually thinking about possibly switching to red just because it might look nice with the tail light bar
