That’s interesting. I just looked at PlugShare after you mentioned this and a Polestar, Mach-E, EV6, F-150 had successfully charged at Coos Bay, though that was mostly in March.
The video clip is basically the same angle and only lasts a few seconds with the sound of the charger going. There aren’t any close up shots of the car or pedestal. It’s not my video so I can’t post it but I don’t see any reason why the person would try to create a fake video.
Yeah, it was just turned on in the past week so maybe they forgot to flip a switch to prevent non-Rivians from charging (this charger is in Clackamas, OR). Has anyone ever tried plugging in their other EVs into CCS RAN chargers in the recent past?
Here’s a pic someone else took on FB (credit to Titus Andronicus). They also took a video clip and you can hear the charger running in the background.
Are RAN chargers currently working for any CCS vehicle (while it is currently free)? I just saw a post on FB of a Bolt looking like it’s successfully charging on a RAN with the green light lit up on the side of the pedestal.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. It's interesting that Tesla is the only one who really differentiates the two scenarios. They must have skimped on something structurally with their hitch hardware.
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knows the vertical weight limit for the hitch receiver (such as a hitch receiver bike rack). For example, the Tesla Model X limit is 120 pounds and the Model Y is 160 pounds despite having much higher max tongue weight limits. From what I have read, the...
They must have an excess of Launch Green exterior paint. There is really no other reason they would continue to produce vehicles with this color and put them in the R1 shop. They're probably hoping that folks who chose normal colors might snatch up a launch colored vehicle since they can get...
heh, I’m in Oregon so I was wondering more specifically where exactly in Madras. I don’t have a Rivian yet so I’m not sure how to look up exact locations.
