Thanks for the tips, @Phatman113 . I will try the destination charger idea. I did just return home from an EV GO fast charger. After two failed chargers, the third one worked. All three were CCS. So, at least I know that the car itself will charge if plugged into a working charger. I did reset...
Has anyone has a Tesla Gen 3 wall charger just not work, no matter how long you wait? I just received delivery of my R1S and get same behavior with it not working, but no amount of waiting with it plugged in resolves the issue. I'm about to pull the trigger on swapping the Tesla charger for a...
Great deal for anyone who did not order their charger prior to the price hike. I'm located in SF Bay Area and prefer to not ship, but if you wish to cover the shipping cost, all the more power to you. Selling because my Tesla wall charger works fine with an adapter. Please DM me if interested.
No, not at all. I currently am waiting from my R1S, so my experience is with a Tesla Y. Overall, after driving it for a year, it is much less work with one pedal driving:
1. Regular city driving offers rest and 'foot freedom' at every stoplight - no need to keep my foot on the brake (or shift...
My very unscientific observation is that induction boils/heats/melts liquids much more rapidly than gas because the entire pot heats up, all the way up the sides, not just heat radiating from the bottom up. I was shocked at how quickly I was able to melt and heat up a quart of frozen soup using...
Wait, my pre-order pre-dates yours. I'm gonna cry now. But seriously, this is the nature of mass customized production. As manufacturing actually gets smarter (allowing every order to be customized to the consumer's liking), manufacturers now have the responsibility to produce those orders in a...
My preorder date goes back to Jul. ā19. I had one from April ā19 which I cancelled long ago. Is it seriously 2023 now? ? At this rate maybe my Rivian pre-IPO shares actually will pay for the RS1 when it finally arrives.
I totally agree. 4 zone climate control in a Land Cruiser with kids/teens in the back seat leaves me wanting a disable button. Constant battles and resets needed. It makes no one happy. If Rivian enables it I hope they retain an option to disable/override.
This is encouraging, at least sounds like Q1/Q2 2022 will be possible. Iāve personally reconfigured it with the Large pack for now and will check max pack availability closer to delivery as you suggested. Thanks for sharing this.
Yeah this looks familiar. Had I known what I now know I wouldāve ordered the LE then upgraded/traded-in for the 400+ mi truck in a couple of years. Even now though itās not clear whether mid-range non-LEās will come out sooner than long range ones or if they will be making both types in parallel...
Iām one of the early 2019 preorderers who mistakenly assumed the 400+ mile battery pack R1Tās would start being delivered a short while after LEās were being delivered, or maybe even (imagine this) in parallel to LEās and other R1ās - Tās and Sās of various configurations. Hence the...
...then there is the Diesel gladiator, with >500mi range and plenty of low-end torque. Having owned a small turbo-diesel truck, this is not a bad setup IMO.
