Went to a drive through holiday light show but could not find a way to turn off the Rivian’s headlights. Owners manual says to hold down the light stalk but that didn’t work. Anyone know how to turn off the lights while driving? Thanks
My original tires are showing tread of 6/32 FD, 6/32 FP, 4/32 RD and 5/32 RP. They have 11,000 miles on a 2023 R1S Dual Max Pack (so no Conserve mode). Almost always in all purpose mode.
Any idea why the slightly uneven wear?
Also, at what tread depth should they be replaced?
Thanks!
While fun to joke about CarPlay, Rivian has publicly stated that CarPlay is not compatible with their software infrastructure. Now that VW is using the infrastructure, that even further cements the fact that CarPlay isn't going to happen.
I have these installed on my R1S. With the cuts already in the plastic panels, installation will be much easier. IMHO, cutting the plastic (whether done as well as this or using the easier circular cutout option) is the most difficult part of the installation. Very good price!
For the 360 degree view, adjust the image so we don't look like we're in a canyon. Anything on either side of the vehicle is displayed as unusually tall. Parking next to a garbage can makes the garbage can look 10 feet tall. Seems like that should be fixable via software.
In both directions, I was lucky and the EA station worked although it was the most expensive charging of the trip. Plugshare did state that the first charger - the one with the Chademo option - was out of service so I used the second one.
Thank you for the report and the photos. I recently completed an Illinois to Colorado trip in my R1S. Mostly used Tesla chargers, but did use RANs in Columbia MO and in Hayes KS in both directions. My RAN experiences were also flawless. I did feel sorry for non-Rivians that approached the Rivian...
Scared me yesterday when driving on interstate before sunrise. Called service before finding this thread. Seems to be common, known problem. Hope they fix it soon. Annoying to get red warning message that disappeared almost immediately and not being able to review it after reboot.
I purchased a lithium jump starter in case my 12v goes bad. Where should this be stored? I realized that if I store it in the Rivian and the 12v goes bad, I might not be able to open doors, tailgate, frunk, etc. to access the jump starter. I hate to have it locked in the vehicle with no access...
Both the mats and the rear cargo cover were mailed separately after I took delivery. Mats actually arrive a few days before delivery but the rear cargo cover arrived about a month after delivery. Odd, but not unusual for Rivian.
After reading the various reports of Rivian owners being stranded when their 12v battery died, I am considering replacing mine proactively. I decided to ask Rivian to confirm if my R1S has one or two lead acid batteries. While support could not answer that question (after initially stating that...
