A light vehicle on studded tires is going to crush the performance of a heavier vehicle on stud-less snows in those conditions and on ice.
On the other hand, the Blizzaks will shine in every other road condition you will encounter
Originally, I thought you needed foot on the brake, but no! Can go to neutral easily without foot on the brake. I agree: stalk seems to work easier & foot off the brake seems easier to nail the timing
I’ve got one car I hand wash at home - either two buckets or pressure washer/foam or both. That car only sees 500mi/mon
The Rivians are our daily drivers and those are full on automatic car washes, brushes and all - constantly (subscriptions). I absolutely love pulling into town after a trip...
Similar experience as @R1S-DMPerformance : our Tri gets very similar range as our Dual motor when driven in conserve. I think technically there is a few mi difference on a full charge (a little extra drag from the 3rd motor?), but in practical use, it’s the “same”.
I do prefer how the car...
I live in an area with many twisty mountain roads and I think the slowing for curves is significantly over-exaggerated. I've tried the cruise at very, very comfortable speeds and it appears to slow down XX MPH, regardless of speed that is set. You can override, but it always throws me off
Sorry: yes in our case. 22” Pirrellis, both cars
Dual driven 95% in dual motor all purpose (one motor conserve)
Tri driven 65-75% Tri all purpose (all motors), 25-35% Sport
Dual - around town grocery getter
Tri - driven moderately quick from time to time (jumping on freeway, passing etc), but...
We have had terrible front right wear on both dual motor gen 2 and tri motor gen 2 - alignment is obv way off. I wonder if it has anything to do with single front motor on both?
Both vehicles chewed through 1 tire in ~ 8k mi, which obviously necessitated replacing a pair of front tires (on...
Possibly? And - those yellow indicators only show up if someone is in lane next to you and in your blind spot - same as in the traditional view when you see those next to the image of your vehicle.
Was happy to see this as well - really like the map background on the drivers screen, but was wondering what would happen with vehicles in the blind spot:
Very happy to report great service experience today in San Jose. I think the pressure is off this service center with the addition of Hayward and So San Francisco service centers (and others).
Had set an 8am drop off for one issue - walked right in @8 and sat with a service writer. Had a nice...
I’ve owned a Cayenne, 2 Range Rover Sports and a full size Range Rover and bought the R1S because it really does straddle all of those. I constantly switch drive modes depending on what I want - many comments here about setting it up to work for each person (mode settings and/or wheel & tire...
Specific situation (OP) vs your stated situation - I didn't exaggerate anything. I didn't compare your situation to OP - you did - I just pointed out you seemingly accept concessions or non-enforcement of the rules/laws you break. This entire thread is piling on a guy who lamented NOT having...
Actually not - you mentioned "That is exactly what I do when I get pulled over." - which means you speed (break the rules)
and you also said "sometimes results in a warning and no ticket." - you are saying you actually do pay the fines anyway, despite given warnings? I guess its possible, but...
Exactly my point.
Your not getting a ticket is a bit like OP not getting idle fees (subjective interpretation of the rules based on set of reasonable circumstances)
If you take responsibility for your actions, you'd pay the fine, because you were speeding and you knew the rules, not because...
Yeah, I'm chuckling with just how many are just dancing on your grave on this.
Dollars to donuts a good majority of "those are the rules, deal with its" don't readily admit to speeding if pulled over. "Yes, officer, I was speeding and well aware that a fine is applicable so go ahead and write...
This is similar to meters causing turnover when busy - but not needing to feed the meter evenings or weekends.
There is no reason the app can’t “see” what is going on at the entire station and adjust as necessary - like the rules on those parking meters. Unfortunately, they do not and idle...
