I think the solution is simple: wire in resistors so that the trailer lights appear to draw more current, like incandescent lights.
Early Tesla Model S had something similar. All the rear indicator and driving lights were LED, but the license plate lights were incandescent - they probably got...
This is all based on surveys of their subscribers, and their inclination to respond. So for whatever reasons they have fewer subscribers who own these cars, and/or the ones who do weren’t inclined to respond. Iirc they ask to respond about one of your vehicles, so it could be that people...
Thank you for pointing that out. I've heard that when someone wins a car in most raffles, they wind up selling it to pay the taxes and keep the remainder. Those raffles not only don't pay the taxes, often they get the car for free, donated by a local dealer!
We never got a dime from Tesla or...
Unfortunately I'm afraid not. If you read the prize details, the winner must choose a BEV that is on the US market and can be delivered by June 2025. Our fiscal year ends June 30 and we need to close out the raffle within the year, which means paying the prizes and taxes.
I suppose you could...
We're just hitting 3000 out of the 5000 tickets allotted - probably 500 or so ahead of where we were at this time in last year's raffle. In the next few days we will likely add this ticket sales "speedometer" to the raffle site. We usually wait until we're well past halfway. Here's a snapshot of...
Thanks for your question, @savethemanual. We don't cover taxes on any of the cash prizes - we would deduct withholding of 24% for IRS and 5% for MA.
Our goal with the raffle and grand prize from the beginning has been to increase awareness of climate and EVs, and put an additional EV on the...
As you put it, it's a donation with some fun involved - the chance to win pretty big, at much better odds than a lottery.
Over the years I think most of our winners have bought 1-5 tickets, but we very much appreciate those who buy 10 or 20! A guy a few years back made multiple purchases of 10...
That's why they call it a fundraiser. The intent is to raise funds for Climate XChange, a 501(c)(3) climate nonprofit with a mission to achieve a rapid and equitable transition towards a zero-emissions economy by advancing state climate policy. The net $ raised, under $1M, help fund our...
I had a question about whether the winner had to travel to Boston to pick up their car.
No need to travel to Boston, if you choose a directly sold vehicle like Rivian/Tesla/Lucid we order it and you pick it up at their closest delivery location. If it's a dealer-sold vehicle we will work with a...
