Look forward to hearing whether the vampire drain problems have been substantially addressed.
For what its worth, Rivian seems to be pushing out OTAs very quickly to address the issues being identified by early owners.
Where are you seeing "VehicleID" in the code? I was able to find "SOFT_LOCKED" and "PENDING_FULFILLMENT" and various "id" numbers, but no place for "VehicleID." I don't even have a "VehicleID: null"
Edit:
P.S. I drove past the Denver service center yesterday. There were about 15-20 R1Ts...
Feels very hit or miss. My guide led me to believe OC was going into production “soon,” while other guides were apparently already telling people about the delay. Basically radio silence since the initial guide call and PBA signing with an estimate of 4-8 weeks to delivery.
I was able to switch my configuration from OC to BM this morning. Guide said switching would certainly get me delivery of the vehicle sooner. However, no guarantee that I still have my “April-May” delivery spot after signing a PBA last week for OC and then switching to BM.
Honestly, just...
Email in to my guide to change to Black Mountain. They better let me change and not lose my spot.
If Rivian really gave me a guide contact and locked in my configuration to OC interior *just last week* just so they could delay people who picked OC to the fall . . . .
I was told I was 4-6...
This is the exact reason I'm anti-BM. The green accents only work if you go for a green or neutral exterior color. Why they included green accents and mats on a "black" interior is puzzling.
Anyways, I like beer.
I asked my guide this last week and got a non-answer.
Signing the PBA used to mean that a VIN was “soft” assigned and the truck was on the way. In the last few weeks with all the new guide contacts, it seems like you sign the PBA right after your initial guide contact. I was emailed my PBA 4...
I received an email to the PBA about 4 minutes after hanging up the phone with my guide after my initial call on Monday. Is that not standard? Given how quickly I received the PBA, I just assumed it was sent after your initial guide contact.
I was told yesterday by my guide that there was no delay with OC, and the fact that my OC was picked for a guide contact was a good sign OC was going into production.
Signed a PBA for an R1T with OC Interior yesterday.
Just a lot of inconsistent data points.
Anyone been to Salida recently to check the progress of the RAN station?
I believe the last we heard was the L2 stations were installed, but are still not available for use. No clue about the L3 stations.
I know there have been several installs of Rivian L2 stations in various states. My...
Had my initial guide call this morning. Nothing new to really report and felt a little perfunctory after so much build up. Guide repeated that guides have heard nothing about a "delay" for OC interior, but acknowledged everything produced so far is BM. No attempt at all to dissuade me from...
Rivian may not want to use the “D” word (“delay”), but there is really no debate at this point that FE and OC interiors have been delayed. The only thing that has been sold is BM interior, including several adventure models.
As a matter of semantics, it is still unclear whether that delay is...
It appears that a significant amount of people received their initial guide contact this past week (based on the comments here and on FB). I have seen posts for people who had delivery windows from March to July report initial contacts. That includes a significant number of contacts for...
I will ask my newly-assigned guide next week what the deal is with Denver deliveries, which we all seem to agree are messed up.
I believe I pre-ordered only a couple weeks before you did in 2020 @cohall. I haven't felt totally punk'd because I had a rare configuration and we're not out of...
Agree. I switched my order to BM for exactly one week, and switched back to Ocean Coast yesterday. I received the email this afternoon. I'm fully expecting them to have me down for a BM interior and that one-week switch cheezed the system.
Have you tried calling on the phone? Something I don't normally do, but I have found the people on the phone to be way more helpful than email/chat. They will work to solve your problem and call you back.
