Haven't used the roam starlink but have used the residential one in northern minnesota cabins. Works really well and hopefully with some competition prices will come down.
Don't get me wrong, I love my normal sonos speakers. I have a home theater setup and it's great. But those speakers just plug in and work, the roam not so much.
I've got a gen 1 sonos roam and I'm not very impressed. Sound is decent but the speaker dies really quickly and is a pain to connect. There are many other better brands of bluetooth speakers for camping like JBL and my favorite, Ultimate Ears.
My only concern with I 80 across Wyoming is that there are only 3 EA chargers from Cheyenne to the western border. One of those goes out and you’re screwed. Can’t use any of the Tesla ones.
Totally understand the pain with rural or vacation destinations and charging there. Seems like the coasts have the major highways covered and are now focusing on tourist or adventure locations while us in the midwest and west are still just trying to fill in gaps on major interstates. Really...
I'm planning a trip to Washington state from Denver and this is my biggest worry. There are a few Tesla chargers along the way, Evansville and Gillette (although a bit out of the way). The next charger isn't really until Billings MT. Need one in Buffalo, WY or somewhere along I-25.
50 miles? That's all? There are some places in the west and upper midwest where it's over 200 miles between decent chargers. I'd take 50 miles any day.
