Esentially an arm and a leg!!
insurance is very dependent on many factors but be ready to pay significantly more than what you are paying now unless you are replacing a similar cost vehicle
Hi Paul, Welcome ! I've met with others at Prairie City and we have made it to a few easy trails last year and a couple of Prairie City trips. This year probably will do a few more again. Let me know if you are interested in joining future trips. I posted here last year but back then there was...
It sounds like it may work until you get busted. Similar to driving with no front license plates in CA.

I have narrowed down to two choices to get my sliders but your presence here and support for these issues has won me over.
Do you know if the current batch of "in stock" R1S sliders have the rusting issue resolved.
I know if I get ones that rust you will take care of them but would rather...
Now I know why there is a lot of similarities with features/software. I guess there is probably a lot of cross pollination with people who have jumped ships from Tesla
I'm not an accountant but at what point does that make sense? Seems like registering an LLC is a few hundred bucks.
Could you register your exotic car and still drive it in CA for extended time or would the CHP/Local Police give you a hard time?
Thanks!! today I learned something new. I knew that as time goes on it would get cheaper based on other cars I own. But for my 2008 last year I think I still paid the License Fee {goes to find out}.
Does being fully depreciated means you pay no fee (VLF) ?
As far as jobs,
The agreement is for creation of ~550 full time jobs in the next 5 years. In addition, the agreement includes retention of 6,000 jobs throughout the agreement.
Not sure what the current workforce is at Normal. Anyone knows?
Until I see a better explanation about how it works, I'll assume "virtual locker" is Tesla's way of calling their tuning for Rock Crawling. I.e it's the same or very similar to the capability of the QM when in Rock Crawl Mode. Nothing that will make a big difference.
I also noted that in...
So from another article, I read the CT has enabled virtual lockers on the DM and TM drivetrains.
are these 100% virtual? software based? If so it's something that could potentially be enabled or our Quads?
or is there any physical connection on the CT motors?
Agree 100%. I am not worrying about and just enjoying the car. Every car I bought before has depreciated.
As far as $4 gas, in my zip it's been close to $6 for a few months. Even the cheapo brands like Arco are over $5
Not sure I would care for a brush bar but a front winch option YES!!
My guess is that based on our current numbers (Rivian drivers with interest in a brush bar / front winch) being significantly small is that no option will be available any time soon.
I envision a cradle/tray that could be...
Can you explain to a noob what you mean by this? I've seen applications of portable winches (although with a much smaller load capacity) where they are carried over to the anchor point and then use short straps to attach to the anchor, say a tree.
Is this what you mean?
