  1. Anyone still waiting on delivery window estimate?

Did you check with CS to see if they had an update? Maybe Rivian thought you were a reseller since most households don’t buy 3 nearly identical cars at the same time. They may just be waiting for extra verification or something
  2. Will R1 preorders delivered in mid-2023 be materially different?

In 2 years, there will certainly be revised parts, some for better reliability, some for cost savings. There will also be newer features like different battery sizes, for sure
  3. Anyone buying the $500 Rivian Wall Charger?

For me, I have to pay an electrician to pull wires for a dedicated 240V circuit in the garage. the cost to install a hardwired solution at that point would be nominal. So For the extra $500, I get 35% faster charging and a cleaner look. I think that's worth it.
  4. Price Increase for Preorder Holders?

We'll see if they follow Tesla's path. They seem to force order holders to pay whatever price is advertised at time of purchase, not at time deposit is made. I hope they don't. But as long as it's less than a few thousand more, I'll probably still pony up the dough in 2023. Inflation is a...
  5. R1S delivery window

While most people don't NEED 7 seats, that's really really convenient if you have kids and a friend needs a ride or you have family that visits and you can avoid taking 2 cars... etc etc. The only ONLY reason I started looking at Rivian was because they offered a 7-passenger SUV. The Model X 3rd...
  6. R1S delivery window

  8. R1S delivery window

Honestly, Still not a lot of 3-row EV options on the horizon. I don't know if the landscape will be that different in 2023 vs today for that segment. Pickup trucks, definitely a lot more completion on the horizon. I can see why Rivian is prioritizing R1Ts for that reason alone. However, Since...

  12. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities (Pics & Updates)

I don’t see why it can’t be both, like a traditional car dealer
  13. Chicago Rivian Sales Location Under Construction

awesome location. Right by the new green line stop and less than a mile from the Western Ave Metra stop (meaning an easier commute back home after dropping off your car for many in western and Northern burbs)
  14. Yet Another New Entrant - Thundertruck

Not even reading that article... but post apocalypse.... I'm assuming there is no power grid and all the elites with solar roofs have had their heads cut off by gangs of pirate children who can't even reach the pedals in a cyber truck.... just saying... We're taking apocalypse, right, let's not...

  17. The US Senate is reportedly considering changes to the extra $4,500 incentive for electric vehicles built at union factories in the US that is part of

Not trying to get political, but the union only wants this massive bill due to marginal benefits (if you think about the entire population of WV). Not sure if it's going to be enough to sway Manchin's vote. Also, they weren't lobbying for the additional EV incentive. So if another bill comes up...
