I'm guessing the "Rivian Won't" is more like "Rivian Can't" as they probably aren't setup and have no stock of things like this just sitting around. Get one of the YouTubers visiting the factory to grab one for you.....
Write RJ an email, he probably doesn't have visibility to theses types of...
Best update ever. I keep mine at 68-72, whatever it used to settle at, but for Road Trips I'd try 100 and it would never get there or stay. 98-99-97-98-then 70? Silly but glad they fixed it.
Is there another $100K vehicle that ISN'T a concern when out of warranty that repairs will be expensive?
My Lexus LX570 (<200K miles) was a tank and uber reliable but the Lexus Platinum warranty saved me from thousands in little things (Passenger door lock actuator <$1k, transfer case solenoid...
If brought to the market at the price of an existing small truck (i.e Maverick), they'd sell tons, but $50K before incentives is going to be a hard sell.
Also anyone want to loan them $10B so they can survive the losses until scale production can support the company? That's how Tesla, Rivian...
FWIW It's a math problem. Leasing makes more sense than laying out that cash to buy out a lease to save $7500 as you lose 3-4 years of interest on the cash outlay to buy out the lease.
Let's assume the outlay is $100K. At 4% interest you'd make more in 2 years ~$8K what you saved on the...
I've only used sport mode once or twice since purchase. It's a pickup with almost 600HP, no real need for anything called sport. Blistering fast regardless. I did try to use sport when going to slow on a 2 lane road for the suspension to lower, but as both motors kicked in never saw any...
I spat out the snacks I was eating on this one. 80% of this thread for me including 2/3 of your quote is

Keep on ignoring and no-one will see their comments or threads. The only way to get by on this forum, i'm at 54 ignored at this point. Much more...
I saw the original announcement and want to see it in person just to figure out will it work for the few times a year I get close to off-grid. Did you just take the leap or go see it somewhere? I don't think there are any dealers right?
Always mixed reviews on everything, but the real overlanders/hunters I've talked to swear by them. Another hour of cell service before losing it is worth it to them...And portable to move between vehicles. YMMV.
There is a cell service booster well thought of in the overloading crowd, turning 0 bars into 1-3 when turned on. I forget the name of it but by the time I find it someone else will post it.
Having seem the reviews, I would grab that WAY before a subscription based satellite system. BUT if...
No way, if I was going to buy an EV sportswear for 100K+ it's be a Porsche all day long.
I had an ICE Porsche and found out quickly, I'm not a sports car guy if I wanted to live a long healthy life. I drove stupider in that vehicle than when I got my license decades ago and the sound just kept...
Someone can laser scan that and figure something out. 3d Print it in pieces.
No idea what I would store in there, haven't run out of space in the rest of the truck yet on long roadtrips, but open.
I know plenty of people in the US between 55 and 65 that have been bought out more than once and still collecting while they're being paid a their new current job as well. Not at all uncommon for companies to offer older employees incentives to retire early.
You mentioned Mountains and Winter, which both reduce range considerably. No way on one charge. Would you try this in a gas car with ~300 miles per tank in the same conditions....No way.
I have the same version on my Y and it almost rear ended a car today, had to hit the brakes hard and swerve into another lane. 99% good FDS is 0% good FSD in my mind. I try it ever once in a while and it's 100% no where near unsupervised unless Tesla is taking on responsibility for FSD error...
I would expect based on the timing of first R3 deliveries (couple years away) many more compelling EV's in this price range will be available from multiple players not just Hyundai.
It would be interesting what announced products from the Japanese brands, Hyundai/Kia, and even Tesla. I'm sure...
Ok so I have a reservation based on the intro months ago, so start with that.
CEO is not helping the company, just seems a bit off and not credible with the insane asylum laugh....I had to turn it off.
