Gear guard is definitely a drain culprit, but many early reports showed pretty high drainage even with gear guard disabled. Weather seems to be a big factor. Perfect weather here now, so i guess I’ll have to revisit the loss this Winter.
No, .4%. Either way, no idea what it’s doing. But for months, I saw reports of people losing 2-3% a day. That was concerning. .4% so that it can run diagnostics, communicate information to the mother ship, or whatever it’s doing? I’m okay with that, especially since the trend is towards less...
I've tested my R1S multiple times, and it's been pretty consistent. Unplugged, gear guard off, and I'm not waking it up unnecessarily when walking nearby with my cell phone (a few times, I've turned Bluetooth off) when working nearby. I use the energy reading in the trip odometer to determine...
You are probably right. I just haven't noticed anyone with newer builds report high VD. From a glance, it seems like it could be some older builds that haven't properly updated yet, or otherwise share some as-of-yet unknown issue that causes a higher drain.
It’s weird how some people are experiencing less than 1% loss per day (like me), while others are 2-3%. I can’t see how it would make a difference, but my R1S build is 16,9xx. Would be interesting to know if there is any correlation between recent builds and less drain. It seemed like a year...
The last few mornings, I have had the same % as when I left it the night before. This morning, the percentage battery was the same as it was 13 hours before, except there was 1 mile less in estimated range. However, I did wake the vehicle up twice, and one of those times I was in the vehicle for...
R1S 20" here. I had a little trouble deciding between "improved a little" and "improved a lot". I'd say it was a noticeable improvement, and therefore a great update. I really like sport soft now, and might use that as my daily go-to mode. Smooth and windy roads, I'd use sport stiff. I like...
I tried today. The liftgate will not latch without the tailgate being closed (unless I'm missing something). That being said, you CAN drive with long items extending out of the back with the tailgate open. The only issue is that you need to manually secure the lift gate. This can be done by...
I live close to the new Gaithersburg service center. I spoke with customer service at Rivan a couple of weeks ago: the woman I spoke with told me that they were targeting June as the time that they'd be moving their test drives to the new Gaithersburg service center. I am an R1S reservation...
I can confirm this address. Live close to here and stopped by on the way home today. Sign was up on the building, three chargers out front, work going on inside the building, sign for owner’s lounge out front, and a single Rivian vehicle in the back— a service vehicle. I couldn’t see inside, but...
