if you’re considering AT then I recommend adding Nokian nAT to your list. They have a mileage arranty, and the noise/comfort is not much different than the OE 21” road tires, based on my experience with having a loaner with the 21” and going back to my nAT after a week.
I found them less noisy...
I don’t have personal experience but in the forums I’ve read that the HST60 don’t last very long. Whereas I believe the Michelin have a mileage warranty
Check out the Nokian nAT LT tires instead for some peace of mind while off-roading. I had the Goodyear and the nAT. The efficiency difference is not noticeable
You can also get some aftermarket wheels since you’ll be keeping your OE wheels as well
the Goodyear were amazingly smooth and quiet for me. Sadly I decided to exit mine in 30 days due to worries about how long they would last.
I was down to 9/32 after just 2k miles. With that trend I wouldn’t have lasted even a year before needing a change again.
im on the Nokian nAT now, while...
A few updates:
1/ I had developed a steering wobble recently, it improved after a rebalance. One of the wheels was off by 1oz
2/ what kind of road force numbers are you all seeing? I’m getting 20-25lbs with these tires and OE 20” wheels.
3/ anyone know what’s the ply count for these tires...
My issue started after they did some work on the steering wheel controls and the knuckle fastener.
at this point I’m also thinking they messed up something in the steering wheel when they were putting it back together
Update on my issue. They did the alignment it fixed the pulling away issue but the shimmy is still here.
They say the shimmy is normal but I had the same tires, same car, and it didn’t shimmy until I got it back after my last service center visit
I didn’t have this problem — went in for service for the knuckle fastener and came back with steering wobble and rougher ride.
Same tires, same everything. Just only change is the SC visit.
Makes me think a lot of you might be having an issue that’s not due to the tire or balancing.
I moved from 22” to these tires on 20” — same impression as the person you replied to. The 22” were louder, rougher, and created a lot of cabin rattles too.
