Is it a Gen2 thing? I recall seeing a few of these in here but all were Gen2 Just finished a road trip upstate NY in our Gen1 R1S and DCFC at Tesla and RAN, and no issues with battery temps.

Congrats on the order. How much is your insurance quote BTW? I switched from Geico to Nationwide - saved almost $800/year - when I got the R1S almost 1.5 years back. Bumped up my umbrella coverage but still saved compared to Geico.

Depending on the week. Commute is about 120 miles per day, so I charge once every 3 days to 100%. Made my peace with it.

Really hoping for R2 to come out soon. And more importantly, it needs to be in good price bracket. There is no wiggle room sadly, based on how things are going, if Rivian is inflexible on pricing.

Personally, I would suggest to look up how far you from either L2 or L3/DCFC stations nearby. If you can get there fairly frequently, then charging should not be an issue. It WILL be a hassle, but should not be a deal breaker as long as you are able to slightly plan ahead. To give some more...
