I agree with this if traveling further however in my case where I travel 15 min to work and then often 15 min home my battery temps are 60 degrees when leaving and 5 degrees when comming home
and my battery capacity is actually more then next morning than when I got home.
i only charge at work...
in extreme cold when the battery is about -15c or colder when you plug it in the battery starts to heat itself up on a gen 1 immediately as I. Have seen this
idonot think it pulls this power from shore power but used the onboard battery to do this
once the main battery is warm enough it starts...
If I understand correctly you are likely charging your main battery too much(the one that goes down and gives distance to empty)
in these cases set you charge level lower and then charge each day.
i use about 10% per day so I rarely charge over 50% on the main battery giving me about 280km or...
If the OP has a 50 amp charger and 4 motor will only take about 2.5 hrs to warm up and charge normally in my experience
if inside about 1.5 hrs
have not tried with the portable charger
Mine follows closely to -C
-10 loses 10%
-20 loses 20%
-30 loses about 30
-40 loses about 40%
especially on short drives when motors are not heating up batteries
when pack is -40 I get less than 1mi/kwh on short trips with battery at -20C. And motors at -28c
Mines been parked outside 5 days a week for 8 hrs a day at -15 to -25C for a month
works fine and battery is consistently at - 10C temps and motors at - 20C temps.
motors sound a bit funny if accelerating hard when below -15C until they warm up now I don’t do that again
Did a test at -30 C for...
Either the mix was bad but not likely as asphalt plants generally do there own quality control
more than likely the density is low(not packed enough) this can happen for many reasons.
cold day, rained during placing<
you can prove all this by taking densities of the existing asphalt
phone an...
