Are you using the built in apps with a Connect+ subscription? I can vouch for the vehicles cellular antenna. It always has better service than my phone in remote areas.
Breadcrumbs on the map, for off roading and tracing your trail back. My Land Rover has it, and it's kind of nice to reference. Even useful on the street if you're in an unfamiliar area.
Comparing an iPad/iPhone GPS with an airplane GPS (737, E175) I can assure you the GPS speeds on phones are accurate under good conditions (Good view of the open sky, not driving around in a city full of skyscrapers)
I really haven't bothered checking my Rivians speedometer accuracy, but I do...
Only things that interest me in the Gen 2 cars is the matrix headlights, the new autonomy platform hardware, and to an extent the cameras. Everything else is pretty much the same.
Under the hood stuff like consolidating computers/wiring in Gen 2 cars is the real benefit.
What I hate about Gen...
Past 2 updates my proximity locking has been somewhat unreliable.
Either too aggressive, or not locking when I park somewhere and start walking away. Sometimes it takes an uncomfortable amount of time to lock.
I had an issue a few months ago where my PAAK stopped working, and the key fob (that is also bluetooth) would not work either. I ended up getting the PAAK bluetooth module (not the correct name for that part I'm sure) replaced and it has been perfect ever since.
For future reference when you're charging during a session, you'll see your card get hit multiple times with authorizations as the charge progresses. Nothing to worry about.
You can use https://abetterrouteplanner.com/ and your trucks built in nav to find compatible stations. Not all of them...
Any 3 person tent is going to hang over the tailgate. They're too long in my opinion, but some people here have installed longer tents. Just looks wrong.
I have a Roofnest Condor Overland and it fits great.
My brakes make the same slight squeal as my Land Rover brakes. It's normal on good brakes. Porsche made a video because they were tired of people complaining.

You would be better off just tow charging your Rivian if necessary. Easy to find someone wanting to pull shit with their pickup truck if you're not in the middle of nowhere.
I had a similar problem that I just got resolved. 60+ days in the service center for 2 small paint defects that turned into an absolute shit show as well.
I should have rejected delivery, but was also assured it would be simple and quick to fix.
The collision shop here is terrible, and makes...
These are the best kinds of updates, bug fixes!
Rivian if you're listening, please keep telling us about these updates and the small bug fixes that are included. I really really hate when I read a changelog on an app I'm updating on my phone, and it reads "Bug fixes and improvements"
My issue with this is not everyone can climb over and exit out front.
Have you seen the average American these days? It isn't happening.
Then add the roof being partially crushed and you're stuck. Great design Rivian.
Once again, no benefit to electronically controlled door latches. Rivian...
