  1. Rivian Elevation audio system - in house design change began February 2023?

Pretty similar to the Meridian in that case. Mids and highs are fine but the lows needed a boost for my taste as well.
  2. So my R1T was keyed on Monday night... and I got it on Gear Guard

At least it doesn't seem like your Rivian was specifically targeted. Just seems like someone with nothing better to do other than damage people's property.
  3. List your Rivian (Enterprise) provided loaner car during service

When my truck was being serviced back in December the Enterprise near the Brooklyn SC gave me a pretty beat up Chevy Colorado with a check engine light. Wasn't great and got a whole 10.5mpg but it was better than the uber credits they initially offered me. It's a small location so wasn't any...
  4. Garage "Quick Access" - Feature Coming Soon? (Per User Manual)

Interesting find! I had a saved PDF of an older version of the manual and it didn't mention it so it seems like it is something that is coming soon. My guess is that it was supposed to be included in the last update but got pulled at the last minute (or sometime after the changes to the manual...
  5. Is Performance Limited by Charge % ?

From my experience you start losing performance as early as 80%. However that was during full throttle drag racing. In day to day driving I can't feel a difference between 45% and 80%. Between 30-45% I do feel it be a decent amount slower on hard accelerations. Either way it's pretty fast even...
  6. Used R1T just sold at lowest auction price so far on Cars and Bids

Totally agree. Rivian really needs to start doing public test drives or have marketing events around the country to get people inside a R1 and to give it a drive. For the few months I've owned mine I rarely had anyone come up to me and know that it's a Rivian so it seems like the general public...
  7. Version 2023.06.00 "Internal Beta" Software Update Notes

I doubt it would make the vampire drain worse since the vehicle already is listening with Bluetooth to detect the phone key. So from my understanding it would just apply the same way to key fob now. If anything I would think that the battery life of the key fob would be reduced which is why a...
  8. 50% tint - looks great, not too dark

Looking great! I did XR Plus 15% all around and 55% on the windshield and I love how it looks. Just got to wait until the summer to see how good the heat rejection is.
  9. Powered tonneau replacement prediction (it’s not positive)

While I do think that most of what you mentioned is very likely I do have other thoughts: 1. With what you mentioned about Rivian having to install a replacement for 10k vehicles, I don’t think it would be as cost prohibitive as it seems. This will not be handled as a recall and this also...
  10. R1T with 20" wheels and AT's - Range / miles difference between All-Purpose mode and Conserve mode.

Just curious what do you normally run? I had a guy with a R1S tell me the same thing a few weeks ago while at a fast charger but I never gave it a try. I have mine set to the recommended 48 cold psi and I've seen it get up to around 50 after some driving. Most of my use is around town so I...
  11. 2023.02.03 update - a real nail-biter so far

Honestly it’s best to just start the update on the app and go do something else for the next 80 mins to 2 hours and not go near the truck. Mine was at preparing 0% for a while before jumping to 8% and continuing. Ended up finishing right around the 80 min mark with no issues and key fob update...
  12. Official Rivian Stories: R1T SOFTWARE UPDATE DETAILS - English - Version 2023.02.03

Doesn't seem like it. I still have not received this update however the 2022.47 update I got pretty early in the rollout.
  13. First *real* issue: 12v error, turtle mode, AWD permanently engaged

Also had the same set of errors come up while driving. Pulled over and called Rivian service and they advised to do a hard reset. I kinda knew to try that but did want Rivian to be aware in case there is an actual hardware fault. After reset everything was back to normal and support said I’ll...
  14. Efficiency secrets?

My ~3500 mile average since pickup late Sept is 1.73 m/kWh. 75% city driving, 20" AT, 85% all purpose mode and the rest sport, never really used conserve, NYC weather (mostly cold since Sept, some days a bit warmer in the 50s, a bunch of days below freezing). Some factors I noticed with reduced...
  15. PSA - Don’t destroy / curb a wheel like I did (tips to avoid)

I've came from smaller sedans before getting my R1T so I'm still getting used to driving a larger truck. I always seem to get the rear right wheel on a curb when making turns since I forget to make the turn a bit wider. Thankfully I have the 20" ATs so no damage to the rim.
  16. Tail light / turn signal malfunction

Sounds like something faulty with the left rear light assembly where you truck thinks the rear left signal isn’t working so it hyperflashes like in other cars when the bulb burns out. My guess would be that they would need to replace that assembly or see if there is some wiring issue.
  17. Software Version 2023.02.0 [beta] -- Improved EPA range, key fob firmware, new door ajar notification, steering improvement & more...

I feel like that changed in the last (or the one before) update. It might be related to the vehicle in the graphic moving around more but I remember when I picked up my R1T in late September it was easy to see the 3rd brake light come on however now due to the angle it is hard to see it as the...
  18. New Rivian App Update! (1.10.0)

Patch Notes for the 2023.02 update are here: https://rivian.software/version-2023-02-0/ Great to see Rivian addressing PaaK reliability issues, alignment on crowned roads, vampire drain due to front trunk sensor, and range improvements. Hopefully that DCFC battery cooling issue addresses what...
  19. Upcoming Competition: 2024 Tacoma Pickup Design Leaked ?

I personally like it since it took the design of the Tacoma EV concept which looked good imo. I am not a huge fan of Toyota interiors however the one in the newer Tundra is nice so it would be cool if a similar interior to that is in the Tacoma.
