I’m pretty sure it’s just dependent on what the light sensors are seeing. For example, when parked in my dark garage, the locking sound makes a hoot, even during day hours.
I’m experiencing the same situation here. After I tap open the center vents it seems to then go back to my “A” setting. Curious on a fix myself, if any.
I have to jump in here now that the issues are adding up. Took delivery Sept 18 so ~3 weeks. Current issues from major to minor:
1. AC JUST went out yesterday, will not blow cold air. Worked fine yesterday morning, then on the evening commute it would not get cold air to come out. Tried all...
Picked up my Gen 2 last week and they just mentioned that it’ll be coming later.
No mention of an opt-in email though.
Any Gen 2 owners get an opt-in email? Or should I just contact Rivian through chat?

Delivery scheduled on 9/18 (they called me to reschedule an earlier pick up on 8/14 but I’m out of town)
I also reached out to my Guide as my delivery is scheduled a day after yours in SoCal. This was the reply (hesitantly optimistic)
“as far as we are aware your vehicle was not impacted and your current appointment date is still on track. Thank you!”
Gotcha, so Rivian will still be “paying” for some sort of LTE service as a standard. Great news for customers! Maybe not great for Rivian’s margins ?
This is definitely an intriguing offer, I wonder what offers Rivian will have in September with the (expected) fed interest rate cuts that are rumored.

I was wondering now with Connect+ offered as a subscription, what does that mean for features like remote cabin temperature setting?
I imagine this would only be available with Connect+ since the vehicle would need some sort of cellular connection to receive the temperature setting...
