I am doing a lease to take advantage of the $7500 EV credit. I plan on almost immediately doing a lease buyout, but would want to finance the lease buyout. Anyone have experience with this process and can provide 1) bank/credit union they worked with 2) APR they received for the lease buyout...
Picking up my Dual Large+ R1S soon and had a question about the battery. If there is a problem with the battery where it needs to be replaced will Rivian replace it with a Large or will they give me a Large+ (software limited Max pack)? Not sure what they will do but I would hope the replacement...
As I understand it even when installing the front license plate holder with the official Rivian solution, the front camera and the 360 view are partially blocked/obscured. I have seen several videos with the snapplate and have a good idea in advance how much that blocks the camera (about the...
No Rivian is not the cheapest. Tesla charges $100 per year for this while Rivian charges $150 per year so quite a bit more expensive. Tesla infotainment is WAY better. Can park and watch Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. That said Rivian offers wifi hotspot for that extra $50.
Please forgive me since I am absolutely clueless when it comes to leases. I’m just trying to understand the basic details. I know there are several threads on this topic but please bear with me since I still don’t quite understand.
I would like to take advantage of the $7500 lease credit. I...
The point of a forum is to communicate ideas/thoughts/issues with others. Calling that whining is a bit ridiculous. I have been on countless forums where someone mentioned a problem they are having and others who have had that problem or solved it have helped them out.
What would you who are...
Here is the whole quote again. Nothing about the cyber truck in the paragraph.
“Braking is more of a mixed bag. Objectively, the R1S Dual Max stops from 60 mph in an admirable 126 feet (well, admirable for something weighing three tons plus). Subjectively, it gets there unpleasantly; testing...
Nothing read incorrectly. The article is very clear. Even at the top of the article they have a section listed cons for the R1S that states:
“Brake pedal travel”
As a con.
You must have not read the article all the way through.
Just read the MotorTrend review on the 2025 R1S. They really complained about the brakes on the R1S:
“Subjectively, it gets there unpleasantly; testing director Eric Tingwall notes “the brake pedal has a massive—unacceptable, outrageous, offensive—amount of travel and no real feel to it,”...
Don’t think I’m missing anything. I believe that fewer owners who currently own a R1X will take advantage of this. I believe if they opened the discount up to everyone then more people would take advantage of the offer.
I think in general loyalty programs make sense for traditional auto...
Probably won’t be a popular opinion here but the loyalty program doesn’t make sense to me. Give $3500 off to someone who already owns a Rivian? My guess is that a very small percentage of current owners will take this deal. Seems like they really should be giving a discount to new owners. More...
