I think what's disappointing from Rivian is that it's not made clear what the current plan is. As you suggest in the title, scaled down or up? Just be forthcoming with your plans and don't leave it so ambiguous that everyone has to speculate & start rumors.
I agree, they avoid a straight answer worse than a politician, but the results were solid for the quarter and consistent with the direction in which Rivian has always stated they are headed.
Yeah, big difference....there's a significant space (bed) between rear window and the road, not an apples to apples comparison at all. When the rear glass is actually the rear of the car, it has the potential to get dirty to the point of not being able to see out of it when driving in crappy...
Rivian losing money every year is not their long term plan, that's just silly to bring up. You gotta see the forest through the trees sometimes ya know.
I should of explained in more detail, I don't drive an Ioniq 5 but owners had issues with no rear wiper...so much so that Hyundai added one with the light refresh. My rear window is not vertical either but making a general comparison to sloped rear glass like a hatch back or coupe type vehicle...
Ha, ask that question to the first gen Ioniq 5 owners. Vertical rear glass gets messy when driving in inclement weather, mine gets so bad here in MI during winters it would be a hazard if I didn't have my rear wiper/washer...you simply can't see out of it.
With all due respect, promoting 22 lbs of weight savings is kind of funny. Its a 7k lb. vehicle with most of the weight at a low center of gravity already in the battery pack.
I’d do the Coastal Cloud if the headliner were black. My current vehicle has a light grey headliner and it gets very dirty! Not a fan of dealing with that.
We will know for sure when reservation holders are prompted to start the ordering process, soon! Technically, every thing is speculation right now.....but some speculators have very good insights ;)
Hakuna Matata! (I just saw Lion King Broadway show :) )
Is C&D even in actual print anymore? Yeah, hard for the legacy media that relied on paper for so long to pivot. I do visit their website often so I hope they stay around.
