Same here. Have a tundra currently and a tundra prime would fit my use case very well...guessing Toyota it will be a mild hybrid and not come for another year or two though.
I'm 6'4" and with a standard style tailgate down it is still difficult to reach items in the bed. With this gooseneck extra long tailgate it's going to be worse. Would have at least liked a step since the 180 version was cancelled.
I think he does some damage with his reviews. Everything he aims for is for production simplification at the expense of quality and ease of repair.
He wants glue and rivits instead of threaded fasteners and reusable seals and knocks manufacturers for taking that route.
I've cut through a lot of laminated glass (windshields). It is not quick compared to side widows that are often non-laminated. It's not perfect but it's not a huge deal either. First responders will get though the glass quickly when needed. We have the tools.
It is pretty interesting how they give a car to someone who lacks simple logic. That was a pretty ridiculous claim he put out there without any solid data
Oh, how about a sprayer attachment for the kitchen option to wash various things? Like if you have bloody bed from hunting...with a heater for a warm shower?
I'm just not really concerned about water storage. I can throw a case of water in the bed or something like that. I'm not a fan of having to keep an eye on that container water to make sure it's not moldy and clean it out regularly. Yes I know I can put some bleach in it and all but just...
I would like the camp kitchen to have a fridge where the 5gal water storage currently is. Minor issue though.
Winch would be nice.
Honestly I'm pretty happy with the accessories overall.
This is how I'm looking at the two options (for my use case).

I did not, most I've heard is aluminum, steel, carbon fiber are all used...but not where they are used.
That said, aluminum also has corrosion issues although generally less than steels.
