I’m in no hurry and not stressed. I want my truck to be high quality and without a ton of issues.
We have a Mini Cooper EV coming in November/December that will keep me entertained (in a different way than the Rivian) and will save me a ton of money in gas.
Thanks everyone!
My wife and I drive about 35,000 miles a year between the two of us, so it looks like we will still have an electric bill even after we add solar, but it will still be cheaper than gas.
That’s awesome!
When did you order the Mini?
I am hoping the dealers we talked to aren’t yanking our chain by saying that our October build will get to me by the end of the year. I need the tax rebate.
I will get the best of both worlds. I get the Mini until my R1T comes in, then my wife will...
Thanks!
Yeah, we both drive quite a bit, probably 30,000 miles a year between the two of us. My jeep takes a brunt of the miles, and at 12 mpg and a 400 mile weekly commute it adds up. I put $160 in my tank last week. I suppose the $1200-1400 that I may pay extra in electricity over the year...
Hi!
I suck at math and most things associated with math. That's why I perform and teach Improvisational Theater, Sketch Comedy, and puppetry for a living. This is also great because I don't have to add a lot of large numbers from paychecks.
My wife and I are going to make a major change and go...
I live about 15 minutes from where the crash occurred. I thought about driving by on my way to work to have a look around. We aren’t seeing the whole picture, just the end results.
We are only hearing one side of the story. For all we know TFL wanted the truck for a week and wanted to do whatever they wanted with it and Rivian said “no” when there was some communication.
TFL doesn’t seem to be pro EV, so why would Rivian offer up their truck?
TFL then gets bitchy about...
Rivian is only making two vehicles. Ford has to produce an entire line of cars and trucks.
That being said, if Rivian can really complete a truck every four to five minutes, then the build about 100 trucks a day, 500 a week, 2000 a month and 24000 a year. More of the plant runs longer than 8...
I am in OC. I drive a Jeep with 4” of lift and 37”tires. I get 12.5 miles to the gallon and get about 220 miles to a tank. I just filled up for $83.
$25 or so to charge would be quite the improvement.
Hopefully going solar will help that even more. We are just starting to look into it.
