  1. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

Your math from the first point still doesn't make sense. Even if they do get higher... and produce 12k R1Ts this year... that is still no where even close to your reservation number.
  2. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

I still don't understand how you are expecting to get the truck by the end of the year, when they said they are only building 10k trucks this year (plus another 5k SUVs). Even with only a 50% conversion rate, they don't seem close to getting to your reservation number.
  3. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

They just delivered about 2500 LE R1Ts, and that is only black interior. RS had a poll, and half the vehicles configured were black interior... so at the very least, you are probably looking at 5000 LE R1Ts. But it is probably much higher than that, as there are plenty of people with an LE R1T...
  4. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

Keep in mind, those estimates came out when Rivian was estimating 50k vehicles built in the first year. They later cut that in half to 25k (including vans). They just came out two days ago and said they are still on track for that 25k (15k of which will be R1 vehicles). So we definitely have...
  5. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

That part is beside the point. Point is, they said 15k R1 vehicles this year. So how is OP expecting is order to get delivered? Even if only 60% keep their reservations.
  6. Many of you are mistaking how to think about the order queue...

Didn't Rivian say they'll only be able to build 25,000 vehicles this year? Total. 10k vans, 10k R1Ts and 5k R1Ss? Gotta think the vast majority of those 15k are launch editions. How are they getting to your order? Are you saying launch editions don't count towards their 15k estimate??
  7. Had call with Rivian Guide, delay on Ocean Coast interior

I was really hoping to love FE, as I think black is too monotone, and while I love OC, I was worried about it getting dirty. FE is greyer than it looks in pictures, but was still too green for my liking. I would actually chose it third after black, even if cost wasn't a factor. Point is, I...
  8. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

You said you felt bad for the buyers, as the price of an LE reservation was no longer worth $5k. I'm asking if you still feel bad for those buyers, considering the worth of an LE reservation probably just went up.
  9. Ocean Coast Pics?

To each there own, but my friend and I both thought ocean looked the best of the three. The lighter color contrasts the darker trims nicely and just gives the entire vehicle a much more luxurious feel. I felt the black was just really plain, with zero contrast. Which was fine, nothing wrong...
  10. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

I did end up getting one. If you end up keeping yours... It'll be a race to see who gets theirs first. And definitely don't take the advice of buying the truck to then try and flip it. Such bad advice. Taxes kill much of the profit. Just sell the reservation.
  11. Has anyone on this forum received a confirmed delivery date?

Or you could just accept that you have no more info than Cohall. Just because other manufacturers have demonstrated it this way, doesn't mean a thing. Unless you know the inner workings of Rivian, a company still in its infancy, Cohall's theory is just as valid as yours.
  12. Doug DeMuro: 2022 GMC Hummer EV

There is footage of publications driving it offroad... albeit a closed course, and nothing crazy. But still, at least they let the fast lane truck guys drive it. And they seemed impressed with it's clearance and approach angles. As for interior space... it's hard to tell that from the pics...
  13. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

I didn't realize there was another thread. Not convinced that person is really willing to pay $10k, as I know multiple people that would be willing to sell at less than that price. He joined that day, and hasn't posted since that day. I was quoting the post in this thread earlier this month...
  14. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

That was $10k for a truck if he could take delivery of it in 2021. Which clearly is not going to happen.
  15. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

Pretty sure many many people would sell at $25k. Hell, I'd sell my newly purchased reservation for $25k. But $25k is a pipe dream unless you are getting your car in January. Then maybe you could find a buyer. Any sales that have taken place have been $5k or less, and we haven't seen a single...
  16. Doug Demuro Review: The Rivian R1T Is the Coolest Pickup Truck Ever Made

IMO those scores are fair. It's a truck, and it's not going to handle as well as a sports car or a luxury sedan. He doesn't grade things separately for different auto segments. You could argue that handling should be higher given that it's better than other trucks.... but then one could argue...
  17. Looking to purchase your Launch Edition

If two parties can come to a fair value that they both agree upon, seems like a win-win.
