The amount of elitism in this forum is astounding. If I get an R1T (I'm still not convinced it's the right vehicle for me since I will need it to tow a 3000lb boat/trailer 150 miles) I will be trading my 2012 4Runner for it and financing the rest. My wife and I both do very well but it would...
look, I’m not trying to dictate how someone uses their truck, just trying to provide some perspective. This forum is very different than overlanding and boating forums I’m a member of.
I’m a LONG way out from getting my R1T, I only recently placed my reservation and I can’t afford a quad motor...
There's a big difference in truck QA/QC and these wheel inserts/caps, that logic doesn't track. These are plastic and the paint could have been scuffed in shipping.
I just think people on this forum are very different from the type of people that would typically buy an adventure vehicle...
Wait...You can't change the 12v batteries out yourself or it voids the warranty? So you can't go to the nearest NAPA or AA and get a new AGM battery and just drop it in?
But these are plastic caps, not the wheels. If the very minor paint flaw in a plastic center cap on your wheels is a concern you bought the wrong vehicle. I know a lot of early adopters are just buying because the R1's look cool but these are adventure vehicles in the same vein as 4Runner...
I’m confused…this is a piece of plastic that goes on the wheel of your adventure vehicle. This shouldn’t even be a thought in your radar, it’s a truck.
This should have been done 10 years ago, however, since Elon is a massive egotistical tool that wasn't the case. Implementing the NACS plug would be really easy for all future builds and wouldn't require all that much work since the onboard charger and the BMS are what actually handles the...
Yeah, that's about my experience as well. Do you think the % reduction in efficiency will translate from my 4Runner to the R1T? I don't have my new boat yet (still waiting on an Outboard, supply chains are wonky) but would the range reduction be about the same? Would be a decent way to test...
Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum and I don't have a R1T yet (I haven't even placed an order). I have a question regarding towing efficiency with the R1T as that is pretty much my biggest hesitation right now, well apart from the price.
I live in Raleigh, NC and will need to tow a 3000lb...
