I had a professional install this one, so I have no idea (I did it myself on my '23 R1S and once was enough for me - was glad to pay someone else to do it this time around).
Won't fit in our Gen 2. Strong preference for local pick up but I can figure out shipping if needed.
Asking nothing. Would prefer to keep them out of a landfill.
In New York City
Of mine specifically - no. But it looked just like the one in this post:

I'd never do this without help - for my brother in law (who is a mechanical engineer by trade) this install is very simple. He has a garage, etc.
I live in Manhattan and have no idea on local assistance. I can ask the guy who did ceramic and PPF for me. Will PM you if he has any suggestions
All of that :)
I'm a stickler for cabin noise. I've seen rumors of OEM - but given I can't even buy a spare tire, I'm not hopeful.
I do have a brother in law that renovates cars as a hobby. This install is easy for him, so trying to make a call on optimizing for a visit at Christmas :)
Has anyone been concerned with modifying the panels?
Resale / trade-in?
These plastic pieces seem very cheap, potentially procurable in the future - I'm just nervous. However, first weekend trip with our R1S. We had running boards on our VW Atlas, and the family has asked (demanded) for them for...
For the life of me I can't get the site to take my pics without a "image too big". If you PM me I can send off high res pictures. Mine arrived this weekend. They are stacked in the corner of the garage on a tire caddy. Will swap them out in the winter.
I asked the lead service tech who did the window reset during our Saturday delivery: "no updated estimate we are aware of...still a supply issue."
The guide who oriented us to the car wasn't even aware they weren't available. I'm not holding my breath. Our guide is mostly useless, so I haven't...
I'll also volunteer to others watching this thread that my sense from my conversations with TR is inventory here not robust. This winter set up should be popular given limited cost effective alternatives. Not if but when for this configuration selling out for the season.
