I feel like Tesla chose to open their chargers, complications with chargers are Tesla’s to solve. It is not the job of any customers of their charging network to solve. Be reasonably polite, as some of the posts in this thread have suggested and otherwise use the network. Teslas are no more...
I'm in Destin and previous posters are correct that CCS is a bit of a desert out here. The closest fast chargers are around 1-1.5 hours away. There are level 2s around at some rentals, hotels, and shopping areas.
I did my first two weeks with the R1T relying on public charging, so it can be...
I was out Sunday morning. Can confirm that the sand is wet and packed down right now, I aired down since it was my first time in this truck with street tires (normally I use an old JeepYJ), but probably didn’t need too. Summer will be a different story for sure!
I'm betting that it would float quite fine on full pressure, I just don't want to try it until I get my traction boards....code compliance is not too forgiving down here if you clog things up or get stuck.
Well, I finally managed to get a county pass to drive on the beach (portions of it anyway). I aired down to 25lbs, put it in soft sand mode, and the RIT drive like it was on the highway. Airing up definitely took a while and I am anxiously awaiting my deflators to make that end easier, but this...

Actually, yours is the one I have been looking for after seeing your signature on the forum but haven't seen yet. I do spend a lot more time on 98 than 30a though
Nice to see the community growing though!
It is quiet down here mostly, but I've seen at least 2 new R1Ts in the area that appear to also be local. Looks like the distance to the service center isn't scaring everyone off!
I'm in the same area about an hour to the east of Pensacola. Charging down here is pretty abysmal in my experience. Only a handful of DCFC between here and Pensacola that I have found. I do believe there are more options in Pensacola proper. I'd say unless you are staying somewhere with level 2...
I traded an F-150 for an R1T. I've always had a truck, and they get a pretty good amount of use. The F-150 was traded in because at 90k miles, the notorious 10spd transmission ate itself just outside of warranty and cost me $10k. I didn't trust it anymore.
I went with the R1T for two...
