In the settings for access you can set the car to auto lock after 2 min. So if it is the fob, disable proximity and just ask them to wait the 2 min before walking away. ( I would also test this yourself before going)
The same would likely work if you gave them one of the key cards.

I would e-waste it and buy a proper known brand that has support and warranty There are all sort of tear down jobs on china based electronics on youtube where they are missing critical fail safes etc.

I would recommend some plywood to cover the back glass or at the very least make sure the taro is covering it when the dump the load in (Rivian or not)
